Inter cooler issues
My fiancé has owned this car for close to 5 years now and we endure some pretty cold weather in Canada. In the last couple years of owning this vehicle we have had check engine lights go on in the winter for codes P0299 (under boost) which therefore means the ecm isn’t seeing the required boost pressure it should see with the provided engine rpm. This issue was caused by the intercooler collecting moisture and freezing during cold weather and this issue can’t just be cleaned out in car, bumper has to be removed, condenser pushed forward to access intercooler and removed from unit for proper cleaning. Dealer suggestion is to run unit at 5k rpm after driving to you destination at extreme cold weather to clear out moisture. I’m starting to realize why they don’t make Chevy Cruze cars anymore

Not reliable
The transmission is starting to have problems at 70k miles and the warranty only covers 60k miles. I would not reccomend this car.

Good car compared to competition
This car has been great, the 6 MT is fun with the turbo, and it’s been reliable. It did need a new turbo around 90k miles, but I believe that’s because the previous owner drove it hard.

Bought it used
I bought my 2016 Chevy Cruze LS in June 2021 with roughly 62,000 miles. My car is blue ray metallic with steel wheels and black cloth interior. The paint looks awesome when the sun hits it and I love washing it. The manual transmission is easy and shifts smoothly despite replacing the transmission (previous owner didn't know how to drive it). I like to take road trips and I received 52 MPG while driving over 600 miles at highway speeds and right now gas is $4.89 a gallon. The infotainment system is responsive and I can speak clearly while taking calls from my car. I have a Samsung phone and android auto is pretty cool once I plug my phone in. The turbo in my car is fabulous and it really kicks me back when I have to move. I'm 5'8 and I was sooo surprised at the leg space in the back seat. The back seat is very roomy for them tall folks. The back seats have child safety locks so you can manually change the locks in the door. The visibility is also very good but there is a blind spot since the rear window is a little small. I love my car, I previously drove a chevy cobalt LS couple. This is a nice upgrade. I would buy the car brand new if Chevy still made them.
