NO MORE LOW PROFILE TIRES!
My last Cadillac was a 2007 DTS luxury with the magnetic suspension . My new 2017 CT6 has the magnetic ride as well but with very little rubber between the road and the pretty 20" wheels you feel the bumps like never before. I kept the 2007 for a few weeks and can't believe how much difference in the smoothness of the ride the 2007 has over the new 2017 and have to believe these low profile tires with large wheels must make up the difference. As for warranty, I am pretty upset that you do not cover these wheels since they come with the upgrade package. I have a strong feeling the first large chuckhole I encounter will damage the tire and wheel. NOT GOOD BUISNESS for such a great expensive vehicle. By the way, this is my 5th Caddy. I love everything else about it, but I always bought for the smooth ride and this may lose my confidence.

Great but mind of it's own.
I have been driving Cadillacs for 30 yeas and this is the best one yet. You have to experience the ride to see how smooth and how quiet the car is. Handling, and acceleration are exceptional for a car this size. Because the hybrids come fully equipped their is more high tech equipment on bored than I can describe . It was a pleasure to take on a cross country trip. I say this car has a mind of it's own because at times when you need quick acceleration it will hesitate before going. I have brought it to Cadillac's attention, but they have not addressed the problem.

What I wanted.
I wanted a large sedan that was very quick and athletic (and didn't need a lot of down-time being repaired). I also wanted a vehicle that had all of the latest safety and convenience features and was reasonably priced. From the magazine and owner reviews that I read, this was the car. After only one month of ownership, I can not address the question of reliability, but I can attest to my satisfaction with regard to the other aspects in which I was interested.

Owners insight of Cadillac CT6 Plugin
Beautiful car with state of art technology and meaningful electric miles which make this full size sedan way above all competitors. Comparing this with Benz S class and BMW 7 is ridiculous since you are paying 40% less for a whole lot more. Over 2600 miles with level 2 charger at home and work my MPGe is currently at 129 and it is only going up.

Sharp classy luxury car
This was my first PHEV. Bought it new about 3.5 years ago. Very smooth handling. Plenty of power. It now has about 30k miles and still running well. Since we do alot of short trips, the 31 mile electric range is perfect. Have more electric miles will just mean paying for a lot more battery that I don't really need. We only get gas maybe 2 to 3 times a year! When we do get gas, we only get half a tank. Found out gas can get stale if left in the tank too long. Never had to worry about that before! Love the CT6 body design. To me, it is like a timeless classy design. It is unfortunate it is discontinued. The infotainment system is not very intuitive but the sound is good. You do need to be careful to make sure the hybrid battery coolant is above full. If it is at the full mark, which is the center seam line of the reservoir, there is a very small chance it can suck in some air bubbles then you end up getting a "service high voltage charging system". The car will not charge. You need to reset it with an OBDII scan tool then it will charge. Make sure you do have enough coolant. I'm guess GM made this extra sensitive since the Chevy Volt caught on fire in a parking lot after passing some crash tests. There is really no need to be that sensitive. That's about the only negative I have about the car. Ever since I kept it slightly above the full mark, I don't get the service high voltage system message anymore. Still using it everyday. Update. Have the car about 4.5 years. Still runs well. Almost never get gas. With gas prices going up, I'm even more happy we got this car. Never been much of an SUV or CUV fan. Sedans are always my favorite body style. Up-date. Have this car 5.5 years now. Bought it new back in 2017. Only had 1 issue. The high voltage battery coolant sensor failed. I was expecting that since it is the same as the Chevy Volt. However, unlike the volt, the sensor is behind the backseat and trunk. Only way to get to it is to remove the backseat, side panels and rear panels. Decided to let the dealer do that. No other issues after that. Car still drives smooth and handles well. Love large sedans as it can fit 5 comfortably with style. Still only get gas (half tank) every 6 months just so the gas won't get stale. We have solar panels and a level 2 charger at home so charging the car every night is not an issue.
