Handsome and well designed car, not your father's
The CT5 is Cadillac's best seller and with reason. The exterior is handsomely designed, even a head turner. The interior is spacious, not quite as luxurious as one might hope from a Cadillac (I have the premium luxury model, so called) with a certain amount of plastic and brushed aluminum instead of more expensive materials, but the instrument cluster and controls are well designed and intuitive. The range of technology offered is impressive, although the car is missing automatic cruise control, which I had already on my 2014. My 2014 Mercedes S-Class. One would have expected that by 2020 Cadillac would have made this a standard feature. The car performs and handles very well as a sedan: this is not the high performance blackwing model, but it has plenty of pep even with the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, but I would have been happier with GM's workhorse 6 cylinder that I had in a previous Buick. I've had the car for a year and it has been reliable, with only one minor electronic glitch which was fixed under the warranty. I'm quite satisfied with the car and enjoy driving it.
