BMW Z4 30iM
I’ve previously owned two Mazda MX5s, one a manual rag top and the other the RF hard top with auto transmission. We now have the BMW Z4 30iM, at this stage I’ve no complaints about the Z4. From what ever angle you look at the Z4 it has style, it has all the power that you need through an exceptional auto transmission. The difference between the MX5 and the Z4 is that the Mazda is more a Sunday morning car, whereas the Z4 is an any day go any where car - it puts a smile on your face every day.

It's a Keeper...
After owning a 2000 Z3 ///M Roadster and still owning a 2001 Z3 ///M Roadster, I decided that the time had come to upgrade to a 2020 Z4 M40i. I've been an autocrosser for over 20 years and have enjoyed the performance and handling of the Z3's. So after a 6 month search, I found the exact Z4 that I was looking for, but over 1300 miles from home. Nevertheless, my good buddy and fellow autocrosser and also a 2002 Z3 ///M Roadster owner made picking up my car in Washington, we're in Denver, a road trip and off we went. Consummated the purchase two and a half days later and got on the road home. The Z4 M40i is a monster. It is powerful, it is fast, it is beautiful, both inside and out and was a pleasure to drive on the long trek home. The technology built into this car is mind-bending. You can actually press a button on the steering wheel and this sweet voice say something akin to "your wish is my command." Want to map a route on the amazing navigation system, just ask. Want to play a song on your iPhone, just ask, and the list goes on and on. You can adjust the driving mode. You can adjust the suspension. You can adjust so many comfort things and I haven't discovered it all. The stereo... The stereo is surround sound and it fills the car. Unlike the Z3, there is ample trunk space for luggage for two. And on top of all that, and more, it gets really good gas mileage. Remember I said I was an autocrosser? Three days after getting the Z4 home, we had an autocross event. It's gonna take me some time to learn how to control 400 horses and an 8 speed automatic transmission on course, but that's gonna be part of the fun. All and all, the automobile is amazing and I couldn't have made a better choice. It's a keeper.

AH-HA!
I loved the car at first sight..."red"! I like everything about it. NO it is not as fast as a Porsche I had several years back but it makes me happy when I see it and get behind the wheel. As I am older I am having a little difficulty entering and exiting the car when I can't open the door fully. If the top is down there is no problem,
