2024 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe Consumer Reviews

Sporty Elegance
I took delivery on my 2022 Gran Coupe yesterday. First of all, this is a very difficult car to find. There is basically nothing in stock and most cars coming in are spoken for before they get to the dealer. I was fortunate to find one that arrived at the dealer that wasn’t pre-sold. I love this car. The new BMW technology is very intuitive and much better than the former system. The double LCD screens with the totally electronic gauges is a game changer. The infotainment screens are easily accessible and simple to figure out. The acceleration on this car is excellent. It is QUICK. I was very impressed with the acceleration and handling in the Comfort mode. The ride is quiet, great feel for the road, comfortable and responsive. Standard blind spot monitor, back-up camera and parking assist technology is wonderful. The basic car comes loaded with a laundry list of standard features. There are some excellent options to choose from to customize this car to your needs and desires. The exterior styling of this car is stunning as is the interior. The ambient lighting and cabin layout is comfortable and functional plus luxurious. The hatchback provides a spacious cargo area with rear seats that completely fold down for extra space. What a great feature. I believe that the MSRP pricing on this car is very reasonable for the value. The twin turbo 4 cylinder engine is quite impressive. If you want a luxurious sports car with some added cargo space, this 2022 Gran Coupe will impress you.

Friendly and Ferocious
Explosive acceleration with tenacious grip. M Sport suspension likes smooth road surfaces, but on the highway it's a smooth cruiser, and super fun to drive on curvy back roads. I thought I would dislike the driving aids, but they work flawlessly and take a good bit of stress out of longer trips. Interior is comfy and the tech is slick. Great car.

Bravo, BMW
My fourth BMW, including two SUV's and one sedan, and the best thus far The M440 version I have is a pleasure: eye catching, unique design that looks like nothing else on the road. Classic BMW handling, braking, seating, etc. This car gets up and moves: put it in Sport Plus, hit the paddles, and hang on [while keeping an eye in the rear view mirror....] Makes a drive to the grocery store or three hours on the interstate equally a pleasure. Highly recommended: well done, Munich!

Fast, luxurious and comfortable
Tons of power but efficient, comfortable and sporty. The grille has been mentioned a lot. Personally I like it. The car is about 190 inches long to begin with. I receive a lot of positive comments. Quality of materials and build quality is a big positive. The Germans really know how to build vehicles. The inline 6 turbo and 8 speed ZF transmission is one of the smoothest drivetrains out there. 32-35mpg cruising at 70-80mph. We carried a folding table and 4 plastic chairs for 250 mile trip once.

The one (Gran Coupe) to rule them ALL!!!
So, not everybody likes the front grille... now that that is out of the way... This car is PHENOMENAL!!! It is the perfect balance of sport and luxury. It is incredibly fun on a twisty mountain road, but it is equally at home on a long highway trip. I have never had a car that I could get in it, drive for hours, and not want to stop. The engineering wizards at BMW have somehow found a way to make this car crazy fast, crazy fun, and very comfortable all rolled into one package. Also, did I mention it gets good fuel economy? 75 MPH on the highway will net you an average 35 MPG on a car with nearly 400 horsepower. Engineering. Wizards. BMW, you have perfected the sport touring car. Keep doing it.

Most Distinguished
Love or hated, like gray hair on a distinguished gentlemen (Sean Connery), the M440i Gran Coupe' is admired and respected for its exterior grace and tranquility but feared for "bad ass" underpinnings! Without a doubt, one of the most comfortable sports sedan on the market and only time will tell if BMW fails again on long-term quality and value! Butttt..for now, the M440i is an amazing ride at any speed!

Finally a fun drive
This is the second one I have bought so it is definitely my favorite car and the ultimate driving machine as promised. My family had talked me into trading in last one and buying a safe Subaru. It was a safe but boring ride. Absolutely love my new convertible and have put the fun back in my driving
Complete package
Fast, practical, very efficient, luxurious... family car that can hold it's own on the track. Just waiting for a trailer hitch option for it to be the ultimate SUV replacement.

Nice, but…
Nice car, albeit a little cramped inside. Gear selector placement is little bizarre - I know it is not trendy, but what was the problem with the shifter in between the two front seats?? Biggest gripe is related to its electric status. Thr range is nowhere near what is touted by the dealer: lucky to get 250 miles and normal anxiety about running out of power leads to a charge up at 175-200 miles. This leads directly to my other gripe: the utter lack of charging facilities that are conveniently located. Moreover, the few that exist are often difficult to find or engaged or private communities. BMW, continually talks about how it is adapting the Tesla supercharger system, but they have yet to provide adapters and have failed to tell us when this miraculous transformation will take place. This bait and switch has been going on for close to two years now and is really unacceptable. Moreover, calls to BMW have led to the equivalent of blank stairs over the phone when this topic comes up. No one seems to know anything about it. This is completely unacceptable in a car of this caliber and in this price range.
