Value and Space
Cars have become very expensive. If you add premium features into a Toyota Rav4 or Honda CRV or VW Tiguan they are going to be in the same price range as the Audi Q3. They won't be a luxurious or drive as well but they will be priced comparably. Size wise those are all bigger but the Q3 is well designed to maximize space. It will fit bike or a dog or a trip to Costco. A family of 4 would very comfortable on a long trip but 5 would be a stretch which is that different from the others. The Q3 is well designed and a good value in the day and age of expensive cars

Rental Experience
An orange base model Q3 is my Enterprise loaner while my Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is in the body shop. I'll make it simple; what I like and what I don't like. What I like: Seats and driving position are comfortable and have lot's of adjustments (can't say the same about my RAV4. The power rear hatch opens and closes very quickly (as opposed to the extremely slow Toyota's hatch. It is a quiet cabin. The ride is composed, if a bit stiff and handles bumps well. Handling feels quite good with good feedback from steering wheel. Brakes are firm and powerful. What I don't like: Gas mileage of a large car from 20 years ago. It's 2020, not 2000. I know it weighs almost 4000 lbs, but so does my RAV4 hybrid, which gets about twice as many miles per gallon. The engine has the feeling of an economy car around town. The controls for the radio, etc are frustratingly over-complicated. After 4 days, I still can't find an easy way to change the station. In order to reset the trip meter, you have to go through a rigamarole of pressing a menu button, then scroll a wheel till it says "reset", then push the scroll wheel in just the right way in order to clear it. Are you kidding me??? There are separate buttons for the rear defogger and the side mirror heaters. Overkill. There is a separate volume button located in a weird location, that acts as a station changer if you push it sideways... which doesn't work well. Weird. Although the door switches light up nice (unlike my RAV4), there are no puddle lamps on the doors, nor is there a ignition key light... so it's hard to find where to put the key. The base model has a key, so it has no keyless entry. The base model does not appear to have any safety features such as BSM or pre collision warning/assist/pedestrian detection. It doesn't seem to have parking sensors either when I back up toward something. All those features are standard in my RAV4. The front seat restraints are enormous and thick and block out the view when looking to the right when backing out of the driveway into the street. So, there you have it. While the Q3 is a nice small SUV built like a tank with high quality and comfort, it just doesn't do anything well enough for me to consider this car if I was looking again. Maybe if I was an Audi enthusiast, I may be blind to all the negatives. Make it a hybrid or PHEV to fix the awful gas mileage and make the tech much simpler (I am sick of touch screens for everything) and I may be interested.

Nicely Redone for 2019. Sporty with great Tech
Truly a joy to drive. Exceptional handling with well appointed interior. Ability to cast Google maps, Waze, or other apps ensures up to date nav. Only issue is inability to fold mirrors.

Stay away
If you want a noisy luxury SUV that sounds like something is loose every time you start it then this is your car! Very disappointed in Audi. Will never buy another Audi again after this.

Cheaply Made, Underpowered, & Overpriced
My overall opinion of my 2019 Audi Q3 S line Prestige is that it’s Cheaply Made for a “luxury” vehicle.and It is way too Underpowered. The 2019 Q3 has Anemic and Lethargic Acceleration . It has a very Noisy Engine that sounds horrible on Cold Startup . The 2019 Q3 also has a Very Weak, unresponsive, and Rough Shifting Transmission. The 2019 Q3 is also way Overpriced compared to other vehicle choices in its class. Please compare this vehicle to all the others in the segment for a better overall performance and value.
