Good for the first 50k miles...
... but a serious headache since then. In for over $7,000 in repairs since turning 4/50k. Would have been more if the dealer hadn't taken pity on us. Literally in the shop to the tune of $1200+ every six months. And I'm not talking maintenance. That is expected. Conversely, my 2001 BMW just had its first non routine service (less than $2k btw). With just over 91k miles and at 7 years, the time has come to replace this vehicle. My advice if you must drive an Audi is to get yourself a nice 36-48 month lease and then toss it back to the dealer before the problems surface.
What a car!
Wow! I was looking for something sporty and comfortable that could handle the miserable inland NW snow and ice. This baby's the ticket! Unbelievable power and great braking. Extremely efficient cliamte control and great heated seats. Handles like a charm no matter how bad the roads are. Audi has come a long way from the old garage crashers and this car is the proof (I still hear the jokes though.) Acceleration is a little herky jerky (but once the turbo's kick in, hang on!) The brakes are a little grabby too, but you get used to it.

No title
I love this car. I actually purchased the 2000 model, but they didn't have anywhere for me to sound off, so I'm doing it here. I recently had to decide whether or not to trade in my A6 for a BMW 530 and I actually started to cry at the thought of giving up my car. Needless to say, my A6 is still safely parked in my driveway.
Audi A6 a bad experience
I have owned the car for 42 days and it has been at the dealership with five problems for 21 days of the 42 days I have owned it. The malfunction light came on twice (catalytic conv. & purge valve), windshield fluid canister, unable to turn key even after forcing wheel, alarm goes off randomly, they have no idea why!!
Very Happy!
To put my rating in perspective, I came out of 3 yrs in a BMW 535, and 3 yrs in a 540. This car is a very pleasant surprise. Very nice response from the twin turbo-kicked engine. Optional sport package suspension w/ 17" wheels and Dunlop 9090's provides excellent road handling in the twisties. Looking forward to the Quattro here in Minnesota. If the BMW's were "10/10ths", this 2.7T is 8.5/10ths, and for the money, I'll take it.
