This is a great car. Not only does it look beautiful, but it is extremly safe. I walked away from a horrible accident w/ only a broken hand. I also got many compelements on the unique look of the car from total strangers. It was very fun to drive, but it did get poor gas mileage (19- 24mpg). The only complaint i have about the body is that the front end sits very low and can easily be damaged by concrete parking barriers. Granted I only had my A-6 for 4mos and 4,000 miles, but i would recommend the car.

Purchased in 2002 with 25,000 miles and loved the car until 50,000 miles when all the repairs started. Now have 100,000 miles 3yrs later. Have replaced all control arms, (2)oil leaks (rear Cam Adjuster seals @ $1,300 each), wheel bearings, dash readout, heater control flap, tie rods, headlight washer pump. Check Engine light comes on at least every 4-5,000 miles and cost $25 to reset. Luckly I purchased an after market warranty for $1,000 and have had $7,700 in covered repairs. Warranty ran out at 100,000 miles and I'm debating weather to keep the car. I love driving but worry what repairs are next.

Audi and the 3 dealerships I have dealt with should be ashamed of themselves. This is not German engineering/service at it's finest. I have had nothing but problems from day one, oil leaks, injector problems. After 3 visits to have the same oil leak fixed, the service mgr told me he thought I should consider buying a new car. It still leaks oil. There is a six week wait to get the car in for service because they don't have enough trained mechanics. Now, after spending $2K on a transmission module which was to fix my current problem they tell me I now need to replace the transmission.

Nice design,easy to drive, frequent problems--brakes,ws washer pump,front bumper too low and has been pulled off four times when backing from curb(bad design) Trunk lock, glove box lock do not work, Interior pieces fall off.Cup holders do not work. Overall build quality poor. TOO FREQUENT MAINTENANCE. Would not purchase again.
