Wonderful, luxurious car
I'm very happy with my Audi A6 Quattro. Comfortable for a 6'4" guy, plenty of legroom/headroom. The car speaks luxury: Leather seats, great instrument cluster, leather wheel, wide armrests etc. Active 6 speakers standard! Powerful airco so you're never hot, heated seats help in winter. Car remains very tight after 120K miles. 2.6L V6 is not overpowered, but smooth and relatively economical, about 24mpg on the freeway. Smooth 4 speed automatic. The slightly tinted glass and top quality paint, combined with the rarity makes it a very impressive car to see, not like your standard Merc, VW or Far Eastern car. Lots of style!
Great Wagon
Exceptional deal at 10,000 cash and 31,000 miles on odometer. Receiving poor gas mileage, but rest of vehicle is fantastic. A tad bit slow for todays driving.
A real runner
Purchased this car with 96,000 miles. Now with nearly 225,000 it still runs very dependably, handles mountain roads daily, and produces not a single rattle nor squeak anywhere in this car. Yes, it is getting long in the tooth and some shocks were repalced as well as a transmission seal and a few interior switches have broken but the engine has been flawless. It drives comfortably, firmly & with authority on mountain roads. Climate control system is needing work; again electricals. I spend 6-10 hours a day in the car as it serves as my office. I got a good one!
THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED...HATE IT
Take the 1500 bucks or whatever you could buy one for and flush it down the toilet; it is a safer investment than buying this car. I honestly loathe everytime I have to drive the car. Bought the car because I needed something with 4WD. The quattro system is competent for its age, but the package the system comes in isn't worth it. Went from a W124 300e Mercedes and have regretted it whole-heartedly. The car is ridiculously-complicated to work on; everything is over-thought and over-engineered and yet none of it works! I have had the car and have changed: CV joints x2, tie-rods x2, radiator, auxillary fan, dashboard lights, front struts, and rear control arm. I like a car either because it can get great gas mileage, or great performance...this car can do neither. Stopped on a hill? Prepare to piss off everyone behind you when the light turns green. Need to pass a car? Make sure you have about 10 miles of space to get past them. Want to save money on gas? Take a riding lawnmower to work, it'll get better mileage. Seriously, its a 19.something gallon tank and I get 390 miles 90/10 freeway/city driving behind semis at 65. The car is enormous and yet, you can't fit anyone behind you if you're over 6'.

'96 Audi A6 Avant Ownership
This vehicle was my third Audi that I have purchased since 1982, and by far, the best of the three that I have owned. The driveability and road feel of this car brings driving to its highest level. The quality of the interior and exterior are on par with all of the German luxury brands, i.e., BMW and Mercedes-Bentz. Even at seven model years old, the vehicle still looks and drives like a new car.
