I had an Audi A4 6 cyl 2000 model. Loved it, comfort, roadability, looks and trunk space of 13.7 cu feet with 60/40 fold down rear seats. Enough space to hold many things as I relocated back to America. Looked at A4 2021. But when I saw that the trunk was now 12.0 cubic feet, I was shocked! Wayyyyy to small. Next, when the 40/20/40 rear seats are folded down, they do not fold anywhere near flat!! This greatly reduces space as well. Then in drivers seat discovered they lowered the head room by a full inch!! Bottom line, the A4 is now way too small for my needs. Took an A6 for a ride. Creature comfort and tons of acceleration even with the 45 engine. This trunk for this size car is also small and happens to be exactly the size of my 2000 A4!!, 13.7 cubic feet. Decided to hold off on purchase for now.

I have owned Mercedes', BMW's & Lexus'. Some exceed in performance and luxury. The Audi takes the better of each and averages it out returning great value and driving experience. Love it. Next car is another Audi for sure.

2019 Audi A4 tire jack

The Audi A4 is and excellent driving car and fun to drive. Problems, no jack comes with to 2019 A4. When calling the dealership they told me they don't come with a jack because they figure if you own an Audi you don't change your own tires. Well I do. And what if your in a dead zone and your cell isn't working, then your screwed. Also, radio volume control on center console is in a lousy spot. Keeps getting touched accidentally by passenger. Also, brake assess brakes for different colored spots in road. When coming up fast on a vehicle in front of you it either doesn't work at all or works to late. Next, timing belt goes out at around 120,000 miles so you need to change before 100,000 so it doesn't go out an take your engine with it. So that's about it. This review is being left by myself, and I've work on vehicles for 45 years

Way too much Fly-By-Wire

Everything feels numb. Throttle feels delayed and overall feel of the car seems “disconnected.” Shifting is quick but getting into drive initially has an odd delay. High steering ratio of 16:1 is ridiculous, perhaps beneficial on no-limit European highways, but in the US completely burdensome... almost two full cranks to make a 90 degree turn. Center console intrudes on right knee... but plenty of room for left knee on passenger side. Obviously it’s core design is for right-side drive; left side drive seems to be an oversight. Seems they could have added an 8th gear; between 4th and 5th, the engine is either bogged or revved mighty high. Engine feels underpowered unless precisely within its power band. Does not feel like an A4. Audi, what happened?

I looked at BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, and Genesis before deciding to lease a 2019 A4. The interior of the car is very nice, although the absence of storage space is suprising, and the quality of the leather is pretty low. Although the turbo 4 engine and dual clutch transmission provide adequate acceleration, the engine feels lumpy at lower RPM, Even worse is the abrupt lurch to the left when accelerating from a stop. Every stop sign turns into a wresting match with the steering wheel. The auto-stop-start is rough and intrusive (much worse than Mercedes). Overall, I dislike driving the car. I wish my lease was shorter. I don't think that Audi is planning on making major changes to the drivetrain in 2020, so buyer beware
