Burns oil

The 2009-2012 2.0 engines have a piston ring problem that cause excessive oil consumption. I was adding 1qt every 600 miles!

A sedan and sports car in one. Though it was beyond warranty and developed an oil consumption issue at 85,000 miles Audi took ownership of the fault and rebuilt the engine at no cost to me and provided a beautiful car as a loaner. The car handles like a sports car and has plenty of power. A great car to own.

oil consumption

hilarious. an engine consuming 1 quart per 1000 miles is about the industry standard recognized oil consumption limit, yes, even for brand new cars straight off the lot. anything over that MAY be the symptom of a problem. this is a turbo vehicle, which means even a higher likelihood of oil consumption, EVEN IF everything is mechanically perfect. it's apparent that a vast majority of the population does not understand the internal workings of an internal combustion engine.

Transmission problem on new car

Car just has 400 miles on it, and first time I found the problem with the trasmission when stuck in traffic. I feel a strong bump when remove a foot from brake and push a gaz pedal. I took it to a local Audi dealer in Norwell. They said that this is a characteristic of a new 2012 A4 transmission and that this is how this new transmission was design, which sounds like BS. Supposed to take it back to Bernardi Audi, where I got it from to see what they can found. Otherwize it runs OK.
