Used 2006 Acura TL 4dr Sedan w/Nav System (3.2L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Best car in its class
Chose the 2006 TL after extensive research and after 1500 miles I think it,s a very good but not excellent car.Sure the look, the nav., the audio, are all very nice but the important issues are the dynamic and handling qualities. Here goes:It is fast, powerful, corners well when dry, shifts smoothly, and fun to drive. Now the negatives: Front wheels spin too easily on take off, torque steer is moderate, only fair in rain and snow, turn circle poor.
Dave's Review
Squeaks and rattles from the dash, driver's door and sunroof areas. While braking, the downshift to third gear is often too noticeable. More wind noise than I was expecting. Leather in driver seat is beginning to wrinkle after only two months. Cup holder doesn't like to release your cup.

Thought it would be better
'06 TL, auto, nav, only 13k miles. I expected so much more from this car. Many random noises, rattles. Very annoying. Window creaking - dealer wouldn't fix. Build quality not great. Interior materials / plastics are low end, as is leather. Best part would be engine and nav. I can honestly say that my old Saab is more solid w/higher quality materials, and our CLK is built like a tank and has not had a problem in 5 yrs, unlike multiple problems with the TL. I'll be selling the TL for a GS 350 or 335, which are both much better built. Given build quality issues, I cannot recemmend the TL.
Nice Car, Poor Service
I had a volvo previously and I liked that car. I bought this car, since the S60 is outdated and this car is definitely the best buy, nice dash layout and the most friendly car I've had. The navigation system is by far the best available in the market. The car rides fine if handling is not a key factor. At high speed and when taking curves there are some lateral unwanted moves that make you lose control of the car.
All around winner
I have the 2006 TL as a company car and have over 30k miles on it so far, so I think I can give a pretty fair assessment. First, it has a lot more interior room than it looks. Plenty of room for 6 footers in the rear sets. Power and handling are great, as is the overall styling of the car. My one complaint is that the bluetooth phone interface picks up so much ambient noise that it's almost unuseable. I think the mic needs to be closer to the driver. That would fix the problem. The seats are great, but the interior is not as quiet as a Lexus ES 330. The ride is a tad on the harsh side, but still quite good. And the NAV system is the best out there.
