Isn't it a shame they didn't bring the v60 to the states. I really like that car. I have 2005 V70, you probably went on line and saw those green diesels getting over 50 mpg. Our Volvo's transmission totally died. This was NOT diagnosed by the Volvo dealer -- they "could not duplicate the problem." In fact, the owner of, Union Park Volvo in Wilmington DE, told me it was likely caused by the emissions. He actually blamed government standards being too strict on car emissions!! Nut job! Soon after, I noticed what can be described as stumble or hesitation between 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. I had a 1995 Honda Accord Wagon EX-R for 10 years and I change for a 2005 Volvo V70 Its was the bad decitions. Honda Service wow #1 but went I stop in a volvo dealer its a headeach, everything is money. The volvo have to much noise and vibrations and the honda is so quiet, Why honda don't sell the wagon in us anymore.

I just bought a new 2005 V70 and the dealer tried to sell me and extended warranty for $1,400 that would make the warranty 7 years/100,000. Is this something I should do? We should have 2005 model info sometime next month. Right now all there are just rumors floating around. Look for monochrome treatments on the bumpers and moldings(finally), as well as changes to the dash and interior. No info on engine changes although there is a rumor going around that Volvo will not import the V70R for 2005.

Actually it won't, sorry. Current plan, new S80 2006, maybe 2007. New S60/V70 1 yr later. In the meantime for 2005 all Volvo's will get body colored moldings(yea!!)
