We have recently purchased a Suzuki XL-7 (2005 model) which has done only 25,000 kms. When we start the car every morning it revs so high and when you put it into reverse it almost takes off like a jet. The high revving sound when we start the car is very annoying and we feel it could also be using unnecessary fuel. Can anyone shed some light on the matter, as ... Read More
This past weekend, I performed the first oil change on my 2005 XL-7. Compared to my 2002 XL-7 (on which I had performed 10+ oil changes), Suzuki has made some significant changes for access to the oil filter. First, air conditioner lines are now located in the area of the engine compartment where I used to be able to remove the oil filter, effectively preventing you from taking the oil filter ... Hello All - I've been away from this site for a while. Up until two weeks ago, I owned a 2002 XL-7 Touring which had 54K miles on it when I traded it in. Over my three + years of ownership, I did 14 oil changes on this vehicle, trying many different ways to "easily" change the oil filter. The best way I found was to slide an oil filter wrench ... Hello everybody, I am looking into a 2005 Suzuki XL7 it is used with 650 miles. They are asking 21,900. That is just on the site. I have not talked to anyone yet. I was hoping someone could tell me about how much they have been paying. I was also wondering about the comfort and convenience. I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old. We are military so ... Hello. I'm looking to buy a 2005 Suzuki XL7. Can anyone give me any information on them? Pros and cons would be helpful. I'm not looking for a big SUV that's why I have picked this one out. Thanks PG1bee
FYI: The 2005 XL7 is in stock and so are the brochures. I didn't sit in one when I dropped my XL7 for maintenance this morning because all they added was a new "S" logo on the tire cover and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System aka TPMS. BTW, the new 2005 Suzuki brochures are twice as big as any brochure they've ever had with huge color pictures. And the good thing ... Read More
I recently received an e-mail from a representative at Suzuki. Enclosed was a word document of the 2005 lineup. XL-7: Get Into a Family Adventure A stylish, midsize SUV with the following major standard equipment: 2.7-Liter, 185-horsepower V6 engine; air conditioning with automatic climate control and micron air-filtration; five-speed automatic transmission (models with automatic transmission); 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels; power windows, locks and heated mirrors; AM/FM in-dash CD player with seven ... I have been reading in my magazines (Autoweek, Car and Driver, etc) about the future plans for Suzuki and several have said a new SUV will be coming out in 06 or 07 that will replace the XL-7. I think several members of the board have mentioned it. Anyone hear anything new? I would hope they would get rid of the smaller Grand Vitara and leave the XL-7 as their part ... Read More
