91-95 Legand Coupe Master Window Switch
Written by: acural on Jul 3, 2010 1:55:30 PM
After 17 yrs, the rocker switch that locks the passenger window on the Power Window Panel of driver's side broke off. It was obviously in the "lock" position because now I cannot lower right passenger window with either switch (drvr or pass) Is that rocker switch part available, or, (and I shudder to think this) do I have to buy the whole window switch assy? Or is this a junk yard ... Read More

Written by: lhy on Feb 18, 2009 3:57:44 AM
Hi everybody: I am looking at possibly buying a used 1993 or 1995 Legend and was wondering what repair costs in general are like. Are they considered high, average, or low in general? I have heard that Acuras in general are fairly expensive to repair.

Hi Kirkaja! I've been an Legend owner for ten years and still counting. I'm 31 yrs now and have owned 5 Legends and 1 TL, and have definitely had my share of mechanical problems with the legends. I've had the problems with the overheating, differentials, tie rods and axles, shocks and struts, glass replacement, trunk leaks, power windows, tail pipe smoke, and stallings that happen out of no where! It seems ... Read More

Not A Typical Head Gasket Problem If somebody could help me who has some knowledge of Acura or Honda, I’d appreciate it. I have a 1993 4 door acura legend, it’s been a great car for me but it does have 200k miles on it. I’ve had an off and on problem over the last 9 months of overheating. 7 months ago, I replaced the thermostat, and put in new radiator. ... Read More

I am in need of a copy of the section pertaining to seat belts in the 1993 Acura Legend Owners Manual. My manual was recently stolen, and I am trying to fight a ticket in court. I was cited for wearing my seat belt incorrectly (shoulder strap under my arm). I would greatly appreciate it if that section could be copied and faxed or emailed to me. Thank you!!!!!! Wish me ... If you're in the market for a Legend Coupe and you a performance enthusiast get a 1993 or newer, this is when Acura came out with the TypeII motor along with the 6spd transmission pushing the horsepower on the 6spd to about 235 w/about 210lb ft of torque. 0-60 runs about 6.3 seconds and 1/4 mile in about 14.8 with TCS off. It's not super fast but remember it's a big ... Read More

Written by: bretts4 on Apr 1, 2002 9:57:07 AM
We have a 1993 Acura Legend with 110K miles (it's for sale now if anyone is interested) that has been a wonderful car. It did experience some starting problems about a year ago similar to those discribed here. The problem was the electrical switch that is attached to the ignition keyswitch. It took about 10 minutes to replace, and it only cost $60 from Autozone for a lifetime guarantee part. Also, ... Read More

Should I buy it?

A recent change (for the worse) in my financial situation has made it necessary for me to find and purchase a car within my cash payment capabilities. My boss drives a 1993 Acura Legend which has 170,000 miles on it and he is recommending that I buy a 1994 Legend. This particular Legend is a 1994 LS with 155,000 miles on it. The owner has recently replaced the timing belt, radiator, ... Read More

A 1993 Legend with 46,000 miles is practically a brand new car. Depending of course on the price, it would be a great deal and a very reliable car overall. I own a 1991 Legend LS with 108,000 miles. The easiest way to find out about common problems on the car is to visit the alldata.com web site and look for the section dealing with recalls and technical service bulletins (TSBs). ... Read More

I'm about to purchase a 1993 Aura Legend with 46,000 miles. It was a neighbors car and she hardly ever drove it. It's in great shape, in fact my mechanic wants to buy, but I noticed a problem with the locks. A couple of times after I locked the door with the key, the locks continued to try and re-lock. I let it continue to re-lock itself over and over. Then ... Read More

Hello All... I am considering a 1993-1995 Acura Legend for a used vehicle purchase. After looking at several vehicles, I have some concerns regarding the durability of the San Marino Red color. The cars I have seen seem to show poor gloss retention and signs of white surface haze. Any comments from owners experience would be greatly appreciated. -ltt

55K 1992, speakers, rumbling, timing belt
Written by: apowell1 on Dec 6, 2000 12:42:27 AM
As mentioned before, I have two Legends, a 1991 with 120K and a 1995 with 50K. I have had the 1991 for nearly eight years, and just bought the 1995. They are really excellent cars, that is why I searched for a 1995 instead of buying new. They just don't make anything that compares in my mind except possibly a $40000BMW but that is too much to pay for a car ... Read More
