Excellent choice. Easier access to 3rd row than the MDX. Much more room than the BMW. Smoother ride than the ML320. Better drive than the RX300. Safer than the GX470

Best auto I have every had....all the space I'll ever need, third row seats, plush luxury. All this with 18/24 mpg on REGULAR GAS. Everything I wanted!

Simply fantastic.had driven it for six months now, got nothing to complain about.hope to keep it for a long , long time.

I loved my S500 because I could drive 800 miles without stopping and never feel it. The S500 had too many electrical glitches, so I traded before the 4yr warranty expired. The XC90 has the same ride, handling, driveability and comfort as my S500, plus holds 7 people and has all-wheel drive. The 6 cyl engine is not as powerful as my 8 cyl. mercedes, but is nevertheless plenty peppy.

This has been a great car. No problem with transmission . I is tyro tire and get 60,000 miles .no oil leaks only problem was motor mounts. Will have original turbo hose replaced at 165,000. Going for 200,000 miles plus.
2003 Sexy Beast w/ 214,560 miles still like new!

As a commuter, I drive over 140 miles per day in the hot Florida sun and rain and can attest that the XC90 is a luxurious pleasure to drive! Automatic A/C and automatic windshield wipers spoil me while the warm and surrounding hi-fidelity stereo entertains me on long trips. Bumps are handily absorbed without upsetting jolts, and the steering is responsive and light with no play. I have zero leaks other than the a/c water run off. My soft leather seats are heated and electrically adjusted with memory. My tires haven't appeared to age in the 10K miles I've put on them. This SUV doesn't burn oil between changes and never over-heats. Transmission works but ain't nothing special. Headliner flaps in the breeze as the original glue and components apparently turn into powder over time.

I bought my Volvo XC90 AWD 2.5t in 2003. The car has 182,000 miles. A year ago hit by a driver that ran a light and walked away. Volvo loves to burn a quart of oil every 1,000 mile.I do need shocks and does go through brakes. Very reliable and safe car!!

XC 90 is the greatest disappointment in 35 years of buying and driving new cars. The engine lags at odd times, feeling like engine is stalling out on acceleration,cutting vehicle speed. Dealer checked OBD computer. No faults,therefore,no problem. Premium Dolby II Surround Sound system cuts out intermittantly in both radio and CD modes.Display disappears and sound stops. Dealer checked with Volvo. There may be "software" fixes for both problems, so I have to wait until May 2 for the Volvo Tech Rep to examine the car.After a week and a half of owning this vehicle, I'm ready to sell it, or JUNK IT!

We've had Volvos in the past and this one has been a real disappointment. Requested an extended warranty after multiple problems and Volvo did honor our request. You feel safe driving it but the rattles and excessive tire wear are just a few of the issues. This was a model year but we took the risk becasue of our luck in the past with Volvo.

Well I had a chance to test drive this SUV at the SF preview and I am very impressed. Quality is excellent and Volvo has done their homework with respect to providing a complete package. I always knew Volvo's were safe, but this SUV is truly amazing. Even at full throttle it is impossible to flip this thing. During the test drive we had it going almost sideways at about 55mph and the safety features kept the vehicle always in control.

I have had this auto for two years now. I still get looks while driving. It is a very comfortable auto to drive and lots of safety stuff too.
