so happy!!
We drove pretty much every imaginable car, truck and SUV out there before we settled on the Volvo. I've had it just about a year and am SO happy with my choice. We drove many other luxury cars, Lexus, BMW, Infinity and weren't sure which to go with. I have friends and family who went with the other choices and have had so many problems. So glad I stuck with Volvo.
Don's Silver Chariot
Well made vehicle - very comfortable for this compact size - fast when turbo takes hold - ride & handling are very good but not at BMW high standard - good valve & very good economy - approx 23.5 - 24.5 mpg
steering/poor
When taking turns, they are poor because ,of front wheel drive.Very tuff in tight parking spots.Try it before you buy.GOOD LUCK.
Could be better
I bought Volvo primarily for the safety features. However, I've had several disappointing occurrences with performance. The transmission slips from time to time. The door locks are constantly out of sync. I made 4 trips to the dealer for warning lights about the engine without resolution until a recall solved the problem. I expected a more luxurious interior/panel for the price. The buttons, knobs on the panel look cheap - my compromise for safety. I'm in the market for a new car and won't be a repeat Volvo customer.
Throttle problem
Got a problem at 94 k with throttle not working, needed ETM software upgrade and new accelerator pedal. I called Volvo and they said that this can happen with high mileage. Did not think that 94k is that high for a Volvo.
