I bought a Volvo S60 2.4T in Aug. 2002 with premium package, sport package, and touring package. This is a fun car to drive. I never thought I would buy a Volvo, but I really love this car. It has nice pick- up. The interior is very stylish. My only complaints are: with a 3 year old the back seat is small, the tires wear down quick (15,000) and are expensive, and I had a problem with an RPM sensor but Volvo fixed it in 2 days and provided a rental car. Overall, I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a fun sports car!

Solid Car and Fun to Drive

Steering and braking are excellent and have spared me from at least two accidents. Love the acceleration and handling at highway speeds. Leather interior is comfortable and has stood up exceptionally well to the wear and tear of two young boys. Will definitely buy another Volvo but only after this one wears out.

Volvo Most Underrated...........

A very good to excellent car with outstanding seating comfort. Has everything the luxury cars have except the high price. Above average gas mileage with satisfactory power. The best thing the S60 has going for it is it's styling. You can alway find it in a parking lot as it doesn't resemble most of the other makes copycat 'cookie- cutter' styling. Plan to keep it for at least 10 years as it will still look up-to-date............

Tromp on the gas peddle and you'll fly by many cars. The turbo lag is annoying, as it the slow shifting "tiptronic", but on a straight line, once the turbo kicks in, look out. My only issue is with handling around corning - too much power and chassis needs to be tuned to handle the power of the car. Excellent design, not a fancy electonic stability system, should be the force behind handling. The interior is, quite frankly, flawless. The most comfortable and well designed car on the market.

Great on the Autobahn

The car is great on the Autobahn, it is capable of diving 230kmph or approximately 130 mph all day long. When you do so forget about good MPG, however up to 100mph you can still get 20MPG. I have driven this car all around europe and bought it over the 3 and 5 series BMW, which says alot since my wife is German. I did drive the T5, which was nice but decided the 2.4T was a good compromise and could drive as fast and handled as wel as the T5. Note it drove as fast based on the goverened top speed, the T5 will get you to 230kmph faster.
