Amazing all around vehicle
I work around cars for a living and have driven many different makes and models over the last 20 years. When shopping for SUV's, this was the only car I tested where I walked away with no faults or niggles to balk about. It does everything well. Its design inside and out is modest and restrained, yet of high quality and durability. It's a very cohesive car in how it drives and operates. I've added 100k+ miles in the 4+ years that I've had it, and while I do have concerns about potential upcoming repair costs, I still recognize this is one of the best cars out on the road. It's a complete sleeper - everyone who gets into my car is impressed with how roomy and classy it is, along with the huge moonroof. I love the idea of it being the "every man's" Porsche Cayenne. The interior trim and exterior paint have held up exceptionally well: no cuts, blemishes or fading of any surfaces. All electrics have worked without a fault. The light color headliner & pillars do seem to get dirty easily however. I think the interior is peak VW design of the old guard. There's great visibility out of the car to be had and the handling is very confidence expiring. Its king of the road on long highway jaunts. I love the fact that I can take weekend trips on a single tank of diesel. It's a complete BEAST in the snow. Riding on a good set of tires can make this an epic winter rally rig. The car just feels invincible in most situations. I'm still on original suspension at nearly 160k miles and it still rides fantastic. I feel fortunate to have found and bought this car. I intend to keep it for as long as it can still be easily serviced. It's kinda like a dinosaur, the last of the VW diesels in the US. I think it was a smart purchase.

Not a twareg, a Touareg
Reliable vehicle. Solidly built, very minimal shakes and rattles at nine years old. AWD works well in rainy weather. Don't mistake the 2016 variant for an off roader, it's far more at home on pavement. Would buy again!

2016 Touareg LUX
Solid car, like a tank. Put together really well. Tight and secure. The new VW’s do not compare in terms of the build quality of the Touareg!
