Used 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Consumer Reviews
Don't buy this car !
I have a love hate relationship with my car. When its running, I love it the feel of the wheel and the way it handles the road. Unfortunately I didn't know of the known electrical problems until they started happening to me. From the first month of ownership this car has made repeated visits to the dealership. The electrical sleeve had to be replaced on the driver side because the wires broke, are they kidding? I had the ignition replaced, tires 2x, brakes... electrical components and more electrical components... Poor paint, it blisters in the summer and it wears off.
So far so good
I owned a 2002 Jetta, and had many problems with it. I was pretty hesitant to buy another VW, but the dealer sucked me in, and the new Jetta seemed solid, so I took a chance. So far, I have been very pleased. The car has many standard features, and people think I spent more on it than I did. I also (knock on wood) have had no reliability issues at all. The car has been great.

Fantastic Auto
In May 2006 I bought a new '06 TDI Jetta with Pkg 1. We wanted Pkg 2, but it was not avaliable. We drove to Maine from Florida with just one fill up. I average 47 mpg. Our last two autos were a Cadillac DHS and a Toyota Avalon XLS. My wife and I enjoy this TDI better than the last two autos. We also own a 2002 Jetta GLS TDI. It is slightly smaller than the 2006 model. I love them both. I am looking forward to purchasing another TDI in 2007.
Purely Awesome
I have had this car now for about a week and already have 1,600 miles on it! I could not be happier with the car, the gas mileage could be a little better, but that might have something to do with the way I drive the car.
Forget about HYBRID, 41 miles per gallon avg.
The Jetta TDI is sooo much fun to drive. I am enjoing every minute on the road. Plus, I get 500 miles per tank, you can't beat that!
