Want to love my Jetta, but...

I chose the Jetta from a very short list. I actually wanted a Hybrid very much since. However, when I drove the Jetta, I just fell in love with it's handling, interior room and massive trunk size [the Soprano's would get trunk-envy here]. Sadly, along the road a long list of annoyances has cause me to rethink my relationship with VW. Here is the list: - Sunroof - sometimes closes improperly, propped up in vent position - Interior plastics - bubble and peel - Trunk release - stopped working and then once 'fixed' still not working - Service guys thought I was crazy for 1] having so many issues and 2] for expecting them to be fixed 1st time. - Service creating more issues during fix

VW guys did their homework with '06 Jetta GLI. I purchased the 6M w/sunroof, leather and spoiler. This car looks great inside and out. Its balance between performance and fuel economy is hard to match. It is a very safe, quick, luxurious solid car with all the right touches. I like the painted brake calibers, mirror turn signals, etc. It is a perfect balance between sport and luxury appointments. This car simply turns heads. It delivers excellent power from the turbo. Other than that, the GLI was my clear choice over the 325i, Altima SE-R, Saab 9-3 and others. Great job VW!

I just bought a new Jetta TDI automatic. It only has 300 miles so far but we like it. It is fun to drive, kind of like a European sports car. It has guts, too.

Hi. I recently purchased a 2006 VW Jetta TDI. I am reallly happpy with my decision to go VW. I traded from 2003 Acura TL-S , I have to say that I don't even notice the diffrence in power and but I REALLY notice in the 43-45 mpg of the Jetta! Also I learned that it even can use BIO-Deisel, and help the enviorment, but this fuel is not widely avaiable where I live.

As a new owner, I have found that it is too close to the high beam switch. This is my second Jetta. I had the old style and when I traded it there was 199,000 miles in it. I love the new style and performance with the independent rear suspension and 10 extra horse power. The new style is really beautiful. I wouldn't buy anything else. I was told I would average 41 mpg highway and I am averaging 47 on the highway. As always, VW has under promised and over delivered. This is an OUTSTANDING vehicle.
