Used 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Consumer Reviews
Best SUV I’ve ever owned
I’ve had two Acura MDXs, two Honda Pilots, a GMC Acadia, a Dodge Durango, and a Ford Expedition. The VW Atlas Cross Sport is the best over all. Great luxury SUV

Very “buggy”
I’ve been a Honda owner/lover for decades. Wanted an SUV and was considering the Passport but wasn’t feeling the look of. Saw the Cross Sport and loved it… It’s one of the hottest-looking SUVs I’ve seen. A friend who had a Passat told me great car but expensive to fix… classic German over-engineering. Had a BMW that ran me $3K/yr in repairs. Anyway, decided to lease Cross Sport for term of coverage (33 months) - this would make sure any issues were covered by VW. Outta the gate, little issues - foot sensor on rear hatch never worked correct (VW dealer concedes it’s an issue but no solution). Then the air bag sensor - twice to dealer to have “fixed” (bandaid). Both times sensor came back in as soon as I left dealer. NOW there’s an official recall but the parts are not available from VW yet. Infotainment system: Function buttons work/don’t work. Dash/interior lighting works/doesn’t work. Intermittent electronic issues are a [non-permissible content removed] to diagnose/fix so I have to live with the inconvenience of repeatedly taking to dealer (40 mi RT) w/ issues never being resolved… AND they do not offer rentals while yours is in shop (unlike Honda) so I can’t leave with for thorough inspection b/c I need car to get to work. The car is gorgeous - roomy, cool, stylish and plush inside but the aggregation is over-the-top. I have the V6 and the gas mileages sucks but I anticipated that. Can’t wait until lease ends so I can find another car! SADLY, I CANNOT RECOMMEND. SERIOUSLY CONSIDER SOMETHING OTHER THAN A VW. Dealer service not good, Manufacture’s support non existent! Poor service, poor support, spotty (poor) quality.

Nothing but issues so far
I bought this car with full confidence that I would completely love it. Since getting it in early December, my brand new car has been in the shop for over a month for the engine light already being on and a fuel sensor issue. I receive it back and two days later it happens again. Less than a week later my car is once again having issues and the key will not connect or let me auto lock it from the outside. They replaces the key battery and that was not the issue. Another system failure. Corporate has been beyond helpful but I feel like I made a massive mistake buying this car. Will go back to the dealer tomorrow to get fixed once again. I had better luck with my Jeep Wrangler.. and who says that!

Should be called the VW Junk Box
This is hands down the worst vehicle I have ever owned and it is accompanied by the WORST customer service by VW service centers and VW reps. It lives in the shop. Recall after recall and electrical problems. Stay away. It looks beautiful but don’t let that sway you.
