2022 Nissan Pathfinder
I spent a lot of time reviewing cars for my next purchase. Once I found out the 2022 Pathfinder was going to come out without the CVT transmission I was sold. Then I just had to wait for one to show up at the dealer. My dealer got 2 models in around the middle of July so I immediately went to the dealer and they had already sold the Platinum version so I went ahead and looked at the … SL. I am glad I chose the SL because it saved me about 6,000. I can do without the premium audio and moon roof amongst other features not available. The quality of the interior and exterior is great. The ride is great. I have zero issues with the vehicle. We took a beach trip approximately 8.5 hours one way with six people, the youngest being 17, and we had no issues with the third row comfort (2nd row just has to move their seats up a little). Accelerated nice through the mountains of WV and VA, no power issues. I did have to have a roof mounted cargo carrier to fit all of the luggage and essentials. The only issue I have is the auto start stop feature. I would think that this would place a lot of strain on the car starter. I wish they would alow you to turn it off by default. They did provide a button to turn it off easily, I just have to remember to turn it off when I start the car. Again, this is a great car and I am very pleased with the purchase. 9/12/22 Still the right decision. I currently have 15,000 miles and the only issues i have had is the apple car play is finicky. I have same issues with my wifes 2021 Honda Passport and apple car play so I think it is an apple thing.
