Smooth, powerful and luxurious

2019 Jaguar I-PACE
I’ve had my IPace for 6 weeks now and really love it. The power is addictive. Nothing is faster and the acceleration is smooth and steady. Unlike a Tesla, the IPace is truly luxurious. There is so much tech in this car that I am constantly amazed at all it can do. I love that it reads incoming text messages to me in a British accent. And the phone app works great. I turn on the AC from … my iPhone a few minutes before leaving my office and the car is cool when I enter. I also like that I can unlock or lock the doors using my app. Everyone wants to look at it. My car is always parked up front when using a valet and I’ve had a couple Tesla owners come over to admire it. A couple of quirks... their is no way to cover the panoramic sunroof so the car gets crazy hot in the summer. And I find that the mileage estimates are all over the place. For a while the car was recording 201 miles at full charge, which is the winter setting (it is now summer). Then it corrected itself and now reads 282 miles. I can watch it drop 10 miles then go up 10 miles a minute later. But, I look at battery percentages so after a while this doesn’t matter. Overall, so happy. One bit of advice, skip the Jaguar recommended EV charger installers. They never responded and after my complaints they told me they would send one guy to give an estimate (it says you get 3 quotes). I gave up and called a local electrician who was one third the price. Bought a ChargePoint charger on Amazon and signed up with my local utility EV rate plan to reduce costs (overnight charging is practically free). Love this car!
