2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL
I love everything about the car with the exception of one major thing. The gas and brake pedals are designed so that the bottom of the pedals are attached to the floor board. This is not something that I would ever consider when purchasing a vehicle. This design causes my right leg to ache and tingle when driving. If you rest your heel on the floor board, the pedals are angled so that … you have to tilt your foot up which is unnatural. Instead of being able to push the pedal down, you have to push the pedal forward, again unnatural. There are numerous seat settings and I’ve tried them all hoping to find a setting that would address this issue. Unfortunately, I have yet to find one. I am 5’3” and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m short or if it happens to everyone no matter your height. With this being the case, I HIGHLY recommend that you test drive the vehicle for a long period of time before making your decision. Test drive in traffic so that you have to use the pedals more and can see how they feel. I would have bought this car time and time again however, not anymore. There is nothing worse than driving your car and being in pain and unfortunately, I can’t trade because it’s too new. I hope this review will prevent this from happening to someone else.
