A grandfather's honest opinion
I previously owned a new 2011 Toyota Sienna LE, put 30K plus on it and traded for a new 2013 Sienna LE almost 3 years ago. I now have 54K miles on this new 2013 as of 1-29-2016. Overall, this is the BEST vehicle I have ever owned. The best features are: effortless electronic steering, fabulous turning radius, smooth ride, spacious cargo room ( I can haul full 4 x 8 sheets of plywood flat in the rear), dual front and rear climate control, blue-tooth tech for my Ipod and phone, and just plain high quality and reliability of the van. Negatives are: driver side middle seat is cumbersome to remove because of the built in cup holder and seat rail slider, and the poor quality new LIMITED MILEAGE TIRES that the only last for 30K miles is disgraceful ( both of my 2011 and current 2013 Siennas had these Michelin limited mile tires.

Amazing,,
Bought the van in 2013,still own it today with 415,000miles,,used it for a taxi and wine tours,,,the reliability and low maintiance,I went to the same garage the whole time and they have seen many cars come in and out of there and one of the workers went out and bought a camry,,,every 5-k.. synthetic oil change, filter, tire rotation ....1 defective battery was replaced and was still under warranty,,at 60 miles..no major repair until 240,000 my alternator went out, changed spark plugs once at 140,000,,there was a recall on sliding door carriages,no charge, water pump went out at 340,000 miles ,,,As a taxi driver on California roads I am one grateful owner, and will b looking to buy another Toyota when the time comes ,,,,One more item, the Book value over 8-k,,,how sweet is that

A major mama gripe with design
As a mom I like this kid wagon pretty well, but have one major gripe with the design. It's obviously meant to haul children, and almost all children are in some sort of safety restraint/seat these days. Problem is, the 2nd and 3rd row seats have this ridiculous incline, about a 45 degree incline toward the back. What they really need to start at is about ground level for proper installation of car seats. I've had to roll a towel to stick under a car seat before, but this is insane. Who thought this was a good idea?? You really have to rig it to get the child seat at the proper angle, especially for the youngest children (newborns and babies) who are rear-facing and need to be reclined.
Great van with a little room for improvement
I have to admit that I had my eye on the latest generation Sienna from the day it came out. My 2004 Sienna LE that I still own had been quite a workhorse for me, but it has140k/miles. I liked the tight turning radius and 20-21MPG of the 04. Also the foldable center divider is handy for moving long objects. One of the reasons that I got the Limited was the lack of that ugly piece of plastic that is in the middle of the second row seats for seating 8 people. I like the 2013 very much but wish it got better MPG (I get 18-19 with mixed driving), and had a little tighter turning radius (like 04). The ride is effortless and smooth, seats are first class, and all the warning systems are great!
Toyota always moving forward!
I am a auto technician and I buy Toyota because at the end of the day I don't want to work on my own car. With Toyota I rarely ever need to, besides routine maintenance. I have owned other brands, but Toyota have always been the most reliable.

DO NOT BUY NAVIGATION SYSTEM
We like the seinna in general. Its comfortable, best driving minivan we tested. Lots of space. What we dont like is the navigation system is one of the worst I've ever used. Its voice entry is slow and error prone, it's display is cluttered and hard to get what is important, it is hard to follow in a city with close turns. Its just bad. My $100 garmin is much better. Not only did I spend 15x that for this system, but they also take out the XM capable radio to do it. Other complaints are gas mileage is only 18-21, the heated seats dont let you turn on back vs legs, and in general the seats are not as comfortable as I would expect in this class. And the tires are expensive!
best minivan ever
I believe Toyota is still the only Japanese car manufacturer with an all-wheel-drive minivan. It handles so well and there is nothing quite like the reliability of the Toyota brand. This is the third Sienna I've owned, but the first time I've driven one to 100K miles. Still handles just like it did when I first bought it new. I've been so impressed with this line of minivans. I don't know why anyone would buy any other brand, especially in New England with its slick roads in the winter. The all-wheel-drive is a lifesaver

Outstanding vehicle
The Toyota Sienna we bought has 86,000 miles on it. The Sienna replaced a 2009 Honda Accord. It rides and handles very well. It is quiet and has plenty of power. We are retired and wanted a comfortable vehicle for travel and for hauling larger items we might find at yard or garage sales. It is the most comfortable car we have owned. It has great visibility and a short turning radius. My wife and I have owned many vehicles over the years or various types and are very confident we made the right choice. Toyota reliability is just a bonus!

My must have
This vehicle should last to close to 200,000 miles. Usual basic maintenance will be needed. It's bigger width wise then other vans. Great space in back for hauling wood or ladders. My van doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it has all I needed.

240,000 miles so far.
We bought this van new after we got tee-boned with our 2012 Sienna. We bought the exact same model except it was 2013. The van held up nicely but was a complete loss. I think it was a Volkswagen Passat or Jetta that came flying out of a parking lot into the passenger side. Our 2013 has been great. We had the a few issues that was covered under our Toyota extended warranty. The cam actuator went out or was clogged and the dealership replaced it. They tried flushing the oil first but that worked temporarily. After that I started changing the oil at 7500 not 10,000. Also, the bottom control arm was worn so they replaced 1. I had to do the other out of warranty. Overall it has been great and I would buy another one. Update at 240,000. Replaced the alternator at approximately 230,000 miles. Noticed some smoke coming out of the hood and a light on the dash. The van stalled shortly after and was completely dead. While replacing the alternator I also replaced the water pump. The job took me about 6 hours for both.
