Used 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Consumer Reviews
Low tech
Just bought this rav4 prime and so far the battery drains to quick and the home charge takes 12 hours or more. Bought the se model it has no technical function at all .even the passenger seat is manual. Seems to work well with Apple than Android. Backing up sounds like the motor is about to give up. But smooth ride.

Underpowered on gasoline only
Our test drive vehicle had no charge in the plug in battery. Quite disappointed in the acceleration. May be due to the weight of the plug in battery.

Pleased so far but room for improvement
600 miles in it’s a great ride. Smooth, quiet, great mileage. Very comfortable seats. January in Massachusetts leaves me wanting for better vents that blow more powerfully for the heater and a heated steering wheel that goes all around - not just 2-4 and 8-10. The ability to remote start the heater in the car would be great.

Nice Ride but
First let me say that I enjoy my rav4 prime se very much. Electric millage is better than expected and so far, mechanically, all is good. The little issues I have are: 1. Road noise-specifically heard through sunroof on highway 2. Front driver and passenger seats feel a little cramped 3. Should be a backup sensor sound when to close to objects Other than those things, the vehicle is A great ride.

One of the best
I bought a 2021 Rav4 Prime SE and believe it to be among the very best vehicles I've ever owned (at 69 yo, that's quite a few). I already owned (still do) a pure EV, but long trip range anxiety persuaded me to get a suitably efficient vehicle capable of going the distance without having to find a rapid charging station. I've read and disagree that the brakes are mushy, steering bland, or passenger seat is uncomfortable. Most importantly to me, the EV range is as good or better than advertised. The efficiency is so great I worry a bit about having to refresh my gasoline due to aging (over 1000 miles since I last needed to gas, and I'm still close to half tank full. Check out owner ratings. Looks to me as if owners like the R4P better than Edmunds thinks we should and the top rated Tucson no better.
