Used 2014 Toyota Prius v Consumer Reviews
as advertised value, no bull
We bought this car for its carrying capacity, hybrid engine, and good mileage for our mixed use. The car has delivered exactly what the EAP mileage sticker proclaimed on an overall basis. Comfortable power seats with lumbar support for driver. Steering is exact and very smooth, car tracks precisely. Cornering is fun around exit ramps as many smaller "sportier" cars are often left behind the Prius V. Radio suite has been replaced on extended warranty at about 68000 miles. Works as new now with easy controls for navigation and performance parameters. We had a sunroof installed which added a little road noise to an otherwise average noise interior......(based on road type) . It is an above average road car and comfortable on long road trips, (Florida). This car is not a dragster but it will keep up nicely on entrance ramps etc if you accelerate at normal rates and don't floor it (use good economy driving techniques). We like it a lot!

Like a crossover wagon with great fuel economy
It's no hot rod but the Prius V is a great alternative to the crossover vehicle class if you want to get the best combination of versatility, cargo space and great fuel economy. I really like how this vehicle looks and performs. The seats are very comfortable on long trips, with ample height and leg room both front and rear. Outside visibility is excellent, and the rear view camera is also a plus. The ride is smooth as glass and quiet, even at 80 mph on the highway. I am getting between 44 - 46 mpg around town and 41 on the highways in my locale, which is hilly. Interior is nothing fancy but of good quality and well put together. Climate controls and the entune audio and navigation system have a bit of a learning curve but seem intuitive enough once you figure them out. This car is well engineered. Very glad I bought it.

Practical Prius V
I bought this wagon for the cargo space, gas mileage, and it's a Toyota which holds its value well. The interior cargo space is about the same as a small SUV but with much better gas mileage. I am averaging 38-42, and that's driving at the speed limit. Plenty of head and leg room (I'm 5'9). Voice command can be slow at times, hatch door is heavy to close, a lot of little extras missing for such an expensive car such as (sun visor extensions, rear a/c, remote use for hatch door, only one power adapter plug in the front). Aside from it's several flaws, I still love it! Great alternative to the small gas guzzling SUVs! However, if you are looking for a fun and fast car, this is not it.
Prius V lives up to expectations
After 2500 miles, MPG is averaging 43+. Car is roomy, surprisingly comfortable and even has enough power to not be a problem. When the power button is pressed between 35 and 65 the performance is surprisingly good. So far no issues at all just pleasant motoring - even from a person who prefers the European/German type ride and handling.
Great Urban Commuter
If you are looking for a car with great mileage around town and on short jaunts, this is a great choice for you. The V style has tons of room for cargo. I have hauled some pretty big stuff! The major drawback is long trips. The comfort level goes down significantly in my opinion. There is a lot of engine noise when traveling on grades through mountains, etc. A lot of highway noise too. I have found that with the low profile of the vehicle, you have opposing headlights directly at your eye level. This is very tiring too. Update in 2019: My comments in general are the same as before. I will say the the Prius seems to be getting "tired" at this stage of life. It seems to roar more when accelerating and the noise level at cruise is the same or a little worse. I find that I have to punch the accelerator more to get the car moving and then it is really loud. I would not buy another Prius V which is academic since Toyota seems to have discontinued this model.
