Bought it w/ just over 100k on the odometer. The only mechanical repairs I've had was to rebuild the power steering due to a leak and replace emergency brake cables. Previous owner wasn't too mechanically inclined and I've had to fix some problems due to his poor mechanic skills. Parts are expensive and Labor time adds up due to mid engine design. Luckily I do most of them myself. That said, this is one of the best cars I have ever owned!! Engine is bullet proof and over engineered to 400hp. Handles better than a Ferrari 348 with the same acceleration time. Dollar for dollar this the best looks and performance you can get.

I have enjoyed driving this MR2. I used to fly F-4's in the Air Force and this car, though not having quite the kick of an F-4, does move out quickly with the sound I like. There is no hesitation going up hills, passing, or just wanting to keep at the head of the pack.
TOYOTA....TURBO...MID-ENGINE...RWD. yup!

What more can you ask for? A cup holder, back seats, cargo room? NO! ITS A SPORTS CAR!!! I bought my 91 Turbo about 3 months ago with 74K. I have owned lots of cars, this one takes the cake. I take this car to the limit almost everyday, and it just begs for more. Haven't lost a race yet. Audi 1.8T, Prelude SH, Corrado, Civic SI, 5.0, the list goes on. I have only a few minor upgrades, exhaust, ecu, shortshifter, springs. Not to mention it corners like a SOB. Combine that with Toyotas superior reliability and some damn fine gas mileage...

I purchased this vehicle when it was 50k miles old.. I've since put an additional 62k on it. Although I no longer use it as a commuter car (12k miles per year) I still love this little rocket ship. Red, t-tops, 200hp and a rockin stereo will always make for a great day and an envigorating experience to anyone who drives one. Every time I take it out of the garage it seduces me. This should be a collectors car.
