If you can afford to buy...buy
If you your looking for a sports car, this little road rocket should be on the list. Watch for early production manual transmission problems though. Other than that and faded red paint {unless another color which is rare}, the car is really fun to drive. Turbo MR-2's are getting hard to find and should be a collectors item. Grab one if you have the money!! Toyota reliable.
Still a winner
I bought the car back in 1994 with 50k miles on it. Today it has 112k and although I retired it as a daily commuter she's still fun to drive when i play with it. I had to get it painted, the 91 red paint was awful, and it needs a new power antenna assembly. Otherwise it keeps hummin and feels terrific to drive with t-tops open on a nice day.

Nearly 12 Years of Reliable Fun
In over 11 years of ownership only one repair - air conditioner replaced. Great fun, good gas mileage, and extremely reliable. Unlike the current incarnation of the MR2, this model has lots of storage space with a deep trunk and room behind the seats and under the hood.
