This is my first new car and I love it. I also looked at the Corolla and Saturn Ion. I chose the Matrix because it gave me all of the room of an SUV but with the costs of a car. It is really fun to drive and I find it very versitile. Make sure you get the "weather" package to get the rear window wiper if you live in a snowy area since it doesn't come standard. I really like the feel of this car, I'm an average height person and can see easily out of all of the windows. I love my car!

Excellent car - good mileage - has all the comforts of home. I'm short so the only uncomfortable part is the seat belt. I wish they would lower it so it does come across my neck. Otherwise its perfect in every way. Easy to get in and out of and lots of cargo space. The fold down rear seats make it so you can fit almost everything.

25000 miles. People still look at it and love it or hate it. We have carried wood, furniture, and love the flexibilty and still it is a small car, suv, truck etc.

Its supposed to get 25-32 mpg. but in reality, it gets 21-33 mpg depending on the driving you do. It revs about 3k rpm at 70mph and stays relativly quiet. I've yet to drive it in snow but we'll see this winter. Its got a lot of room for stuff in back and the seats fold completely flat. It hauls my 6'9" fishing poles inside with ease between the bucket seats or with the front seat down. If I only had room to haul drywall, it would be a great value.
