Used 2004 Toyota Matrix Consumer Reviews
My Toyota
Love this car. It's already paid for itself as far as I'm concerned. Love the room in the car as far as seating and storing. It handles like a small car, but has the capacity of a crossover.
Do yourself a favor - drive one!
If you think you want an SUV but you know that you'll spend 99% of your time on paved roads and you only need room for 4 or less passengers, then you owe it to yourself to look at a Matrix. Seats 4 adults comfortably with plenty of leg and headroom. Rear seats and front passenger seat fold completely flat for hauling cargo. Friends who have driven my Matrix comment on 1) the excellent driving position and 2) the ease at which the manual transmission shifts. Look folks, it's simple: at $2+ per gallon of gas these days you'd be fuelish to pass up on an opportunity to save big $ annually at the pump, not to mention the $ you'll save vs. the cost of an SUV.
my matrix
Love my matrix, had a driving vacation in sept, and went from NJ to Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and New Hampshire, handled well, and held a lot of gear. Pleasure to drive to work, and handled great in the snowstorms that we have had already.
Best Toyota yet
I purchased this car new. No major problems, only had to replace a battery and the headlamps after 5 years! Comfort is excellent on long trips, have driven 1K miles a day in it on trips. Gas mileage is also excellent. At 63 MPH have obtained better than 36 MPG, did 38.1 MPG once, no complaints here. The AWD is an excellent advantage in extreme rain drenched roads and snow. Never have been able to spin the tires. I am using Michelin Hydroedge tires, the car really handles quite well. Just keep the required maintenance up and this car will last a long time.
Trixin it 2004
This little car is an awesome performer. I have put 46,000 to date with out any returns to the dealer for anything. The only complaint I have with this car is that I feel Toyota should look into using a more forgiving paint, As for the car has more paint ship down to the bare metal than for Ford Contour had after 150,000 miles. I would reccomend this car to anyone. Great Car.
