2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Consumer Reviews

You can hardly go wrong....It's a COROLLA!
Admittedly, we didn't test drive more than a couple others before buying the Corolla Cross. Let's face it.....the popular ones are hard to find at dealerships these days. No matter, we were sold on this SUV the moment we got in it. We already have a Corolla, and my wife had been driving a RAV4. But she wanted something a little smaller & nimble. Plus, she doesn't like leather seats & the RAV4 only offered black cloth. The Cross was the perfect answer & the price is SO reasonable. If you've looked around, you know it's tough to find a reliable SUV under $30,000! We LOVE the Corolla Cross. We've only put 10,000 miles on it so far but haven't had a lick of trouble. It's the perfect SUV for us & with names like Toyota and Corolla, you really can't go wrong!!!

Not a good vehicle for tall drivers, anyone at 6 foot will have a hard time of it with this vehicle. Would love to see Toyota make a quality small SUV for a tall driver...!...That also gives room to back seat passenger. There is plenty of length in this vehicle they just need to adapt it.

Surprisingly comfortable
We rented one on our trip to N.C . I think it was the lowest model because of the hand crank to adjust the drivers side seat. That was only two negatives the other negative was the break assist . (Which scared the ever living crap out of me ). I drove that bad bot for 9 hrs straight the most comfortable ride I ever had .plus so many other reasons . My baby is 12 now and we are looking to upgrade her and the Corolla cross is in my sights

Comfortable and smooth!!
I picked up my 2023 Corolla cross LE FWD and find it very comfortable and smooth! Perfect size not too small and not too big! Toyota did a great job on this model! The pick up for me perfect/enough. Highly recommend this little SUV!!

The most uncomfortable car I ever driven
I purchase my Toyota Cross in September 2023 and by December 2023. I wish I never purchased this car. This car has the most uncomfortable ride and I've been using the car for rideshare and the seat is quite uncomfortable for long periods of time that I've developed a right hip problem from my hip riding on the seat belt or from the cushioning. Not quite sure I would not recommend this car

Ceiling issues
Following the first snowfall, the roof of my new car (2000km and purchased 2 weeks ago) collapsed (I am parked in the courtyard of my residence, far from any roofs and sources of snowfall). Upon warranty request, I was sent to an external bodywork expert not affiliated with Toyota who estimated the repairs at $7000 - $8000. Additionally, even without snow, dents are forming and disappearing (thermal deformation). A week later, I am told that the roof collapsed due to a snowfall, and FIX Auto's expert is the one who attributed this cause to them (I repeat that it's the first snow of the year, with no accumulation on roofs, and I am 20-30 feet away from the nearest roof). I then called FIX Auto, and they confirmed that they only provided an estimate for the repair without giving any causes. Therefore, it is Toyota Charlesbourg who took responsibility for the damage and lied to us. Moreover, when calling Toyota Canada, I was informed that there are no open claims files for this car.

Uncomfortable and Loud but great fuel economy
Took a 4,000-mile trip right after we bought the car and got just under 40mpg. Unfortunately, the driver and passenger seats are a lot less than comfortable, the road and engine noise just means that you have to play the radio at a higher volume and not have a lot of conversation. The second-row seat is pretty much unusable because of lack legroom and the 10speed transmission suffers from gear hunt. Probably the most disappointing vehicle I ever owned. It appears that Toyota engineers figured a way to make much of the dash info not only untradable but difficult to program. This was a very disappointing purchase.

My love
I bought a new 2022 Rav4 and every time I got out of the car, I smelled coolant. Toyota gave me different excuses of why I smelled it, and spending close to $40,000 on a car and smelling like coolant didn’t set right with me. So I sold it and took a few months and decided to buy the 2023 Corolla Cross. I didn’t get to test drive it before purchasing it, as Colorado wasn’t getting very many of them from Toyota. My first impression…I loved this car. I didn’t need to apply any pressure to the steering wheel, it turned so easily. The seat was very comfortable. The engine shifted smoothly and didn’t seem loud. With my Rav4, it always sounded like I was flooring the gas, when I wasn’t. A few days after having the car, I did notice a few negatives. My cluster panel is all digital. When the sun comes in just right, I can not see anything on the cluster panel. I can just barely make out the speed I am going. That is kind of frustrating. The other thing I don’t like, is it sounds like I am in a sub woofer box. It is very echoey sounding and certain roads make that sound even worse. I can not tell if it is poor insulation or just the softtex chairs and all weather mats not absorbing sound. It bugs me though. The first time I filled up, I got 34 mpg, the second time was 32 and currently, it shows 36. That fuel economy is almost worth the two things I mentioned above. I do have a FWD XLE, which may make my mod a little higher then AWD.

nice size and economy
To the frustrated owner that said their cross stalled the first day. I bought a Toyota 2023 Cross 4 weeks ago. It also stalled the first day and once since that. The dealership told me it is in the button in front of the shifter, the circle with an A on it. Toyota is aware of it. I keep the button off now. It is very frustrating. If I could sell it back, I would. Other than that, it is a nice car. I hope they find the solution to this.

Great SUV
I’m loving my new Toyota Cross. It’s roomy in the cargo area. It could use a little more backseat room, but since I don’t usually have anyone back there it’s not that big of a deal. It has all the convenience features and drives great! 10/10 recommend.
