Entune 3.0 major problems

Apple iPhones are incompatible. The main feature of the Entune 3.0 suite (Scout moving maps) is inoperable with Apple iphones. Even when Scout worked as advertised (briefly) it seemed to be a throwback to 5 years ago, now that it dose not even work is unacceptable . We have had nothing but trouble over this issue in spite of countless hours with the dealer and Toyota support since we purchased the car in Nov 2018. This has spoiled the entire new car experience for us, with no hope for a solution from Toyota.

Delay in acceleration caused a near accident

2018 Toyota Camry SE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

Similar to Befuddled's complaint, I needed the 2018 Camry SE to accelerate and it took 1-2 seconds to do so, in the interim a car was approaching me from behind. When the car did finally accelerate it did so quickly, jerking the car and immediately loosing traction, i.e., the car was now out of control. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE AND WILL PUT YOU IN HARM'S WAY. DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING THIS CAR. Dealership maintain's the position - again similar to other posts - that 'this is how the transmission works, it is working as expected'. . . WHAT? In 35 years of driving I have NEVER had a transmission do anything like this. Going back to Kerry Toyota in Florence KY for a this time for the same issue next week. Also, Toyota the manufacturer is now involved. By way of contrast, the Honda I drove for 14 years prior to the Camry would have accelerated and steered thru that whole situation without pause, hesitation or being out of control. I am at the beginning stage of discussing with an attorney, so, last points of contrast - a) I have never, for any issue, taken a new car back to a dealership for any problem, ever. I have been happy and satisfied with my purchase, and b) I have never in my life had to even consider the need for an attorney due to a faulty product. Until the 2018 Camry SE transmission. THIS CAR IS A RISK TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS. I UNDERSTAND THE 2019 CAMRY TRANSMISSION IS UNCHANGED. BEWARE! Dec 2019 Update... regarding transmission... junk as previously stated. New... rear seatbelt warning alarm does not work correctly; it does not stop ringing after someone in the back seat who previously did not have their seatbelt buckled, then buckles their seatbelt. I am told their is no weight sensor in the back seats and the alarm has to do with the back doors being opened and closed... bottom line is that the problem had to be ‘fixed’ by DISABLING THE REAR SEAT ALARM, THUS TURNING OFF A SAFETY FEATURE. That is not simply not right. Utter nonsense. Never again

ENTUNE IS OUT OF TUNE!!!!

Whoever sold Toyota on Entune - should be fired and shipped far, far away by using Entune. They won't even make it out of the parking lot!!!. Entune is the WORST excuse for GPS. It freezes when you are using it for a trip, and you have to stop and reprogram. If you are parked and program in a destination, it will say GPS is not available at this location! Are you kidding me?!!! Communication Error - it won't hook up with my phone. What if I want to leave your phone at home, you are screwed because you can't use Entune. Then they give you this bright orange cable rather than a neutral color that stands out like a sore thumb in your car. I like my Toyota, but Entune sucks rocks! A year has passed, Entune has made some improvements for Android users, but it still continues to freeze, no GPS is available. I just have learned it is a unreliable GPS system. I thought I would be keeping this Camry for a long time, but Entune has changed that quickly. I will not be buying another Toyota unless they get rid of this GPS system. If I could trade my Camry, it would only be the Scout GPS system. But, right now is not the time to trade. I have given up entirely using the stupid GPS system. When I have to use it, I turn off the BLUETOOTH for my phone in settings. Then I use WAZE. I just couldn't take the frustration and anxiety the Scout system gives. It has failed me so many times, when I needed it most trying to go to an unfamiliar destination, I just found a work around.
