The Best Lookin' Convertible On the Road

David Rifkin, 06/02/2005
2006 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 2dr Convertible (3.3L 6cyl 5A)

This car is a "dream". It looks great and drives even better. The style is a class act. Everything about this vehicle says "wow!" It seats 4 adults very comfortably and even is fine with three kids in the back. It handles well with no vibration like many convertibles; because of the lack of support near the windshield. This car drives solid. I have owned Toyotas for the past 20 years and this one is, by far, my favorite.

The Solara convertable is the best buy for the money of any convertable in the 30K-60K range. It has eye catching looks comfort and performance and is fun to drive. I looked at them all and the Solara is the best.

06 SLE Vert...

I got mine just before the hurricane and have only 100+ mile on it. Everything works, it's tight and fun to drive. The Arctic Pearl White paint with tan top is a nice combination, and people have stopped to admire the car. The only problem that I have experience is in rear visability with the top up... very bad do to the front slope of the car and the head rests which cannot be removed. One would hope that this could be resolved in some way in future models. I'm coming out of a 2000 Avalon and the Solara has all the bells and whistles, and seem almost as large a car. A Lexus in Toyota badging. It was a toss up between this or a 350 Z. The Solara just makes more sence and I love it

This is the CAR to BUY!

Once this car comes out with a fixed boot for the convertible top then I will trade up. Using the boot is a nuisance with taking it off and on when you want to secure the vehicle. In the meanwhile I plan on driving this vehicle for the next 7 years. Spacious, comfortable, stylish. Just a great vehicle and a real head turner. As with most larger convertibles, there is noticable body quiver going over bumps, but no big deal. Toyota reliability, excellent gas mileage, well into the 30s on the highway in a 225HP V6. I simply can not say enough positive things about this wonderful car. A great buy for the money.
