2024 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews

2023 is the Best
I've had my 4Runner one week. I waited for the 2023 to be able to get all the safety features on the SR5 without having to upgrade and pay the price for a Limited. This is the first one I've owned and it feels solid. I debated getting other more car-like SUV''s but the reliability sold me on the 4Runner. (i had a Camry before and had not issues at all for up to 132,000 miles). Toyota is redesigning the 4Runner for 2024 and I wasn't sure about the new version and am happy to have this one. So far it has done well in town, on the highway as well as off-roading on a ranch or rough roads. Very versatile vehicle and can haul a lot in the back if you don't need the extra capacity of a pickup. Highly recommend!

Reliability For A Daily Driver is My Priority
The V6 engine, the 1GR-FE has been in production for well over 15 years and probably 1.5 million of them have been made. It is the standard engine on the 300 series Toyota Land Cruiser sold in the Middle East as well as on the 70 series sold there and in Australia and Africa. That engine, coupled to the Aisin 750 transmission is arguably the most reliable powertrain ever produced in commercial vehicle. If you are looking for reliability, this is what you want. If you don't care, go buy a Jeep or a Bronco.

I'm in agreement here...
I've had (4) 4x4 pickups over the last 35 years. NEVER had I needed to take one in for a single repair. Not one. Not ever. So, as I roll on into my retirement days I thought it might be a good idea to get a vehicle that I didn't need to sleep in the bed of (I camp a lot). The only choice that came to my mind was, what? Another Toyota. I have a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro and I'm on my way to Alaska because I know this mule will get me there and back an then afterwards, every National Park in the lower 48 states. Take that risk. Spend the extra$, do yourself a favor and wrap yourself in comfort, safety and extraordinary reliability. After your adventure, it will bring you home. Be good to each other folks. To all people and to all folks. out of pocket expenses have been $0 for (5) 4Runners, all Limited 4WD, total mileage 400, 000.

Room to spare!
Yes, a large, outdated suv……however, it is a rock solid vehicle! Trouble free, spacious everywhere and comfortable for the long drive. All the safest features, including being a bit higher looking for traffic, obstacles and people. Engine can use a little updating and power, yet I easily get over 20 mpg city and 23-24 hwy.
Just purchased my second 4Runner
Just got a 2023 4 Runner after 12 years of great experiences with a 2010 model. I have a steep driveway, live in New England, do occasional towing, want a vehicle that fits in a standard garage space and my emphasis is on dependability. The 4Runner is perfect!
