Used 2005 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
4 Runner
My experience with the 4 Runner is much better than I expected and being my 7th Toyota product I do expect a lot. I had the Dealer install Michelins as from previous experience the Dunlops don't make it. Ride and handling is excellent for this type of vehicle. Fuel mileage so far 19 mpg+.
It's simply amazing
The Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition is simply an amazing vehicle. I have owned the car for just over six months now I could not have asked for anything more! It runs like a Lexus but has the price of Toyota. The interior is stunning with a slick exterior to make the vehicle aesthetically pleasing. The engine runs magnificently with good pickup and a smooth ride. Off the road the shocks are perfect! The ride is soft but you can still feel a little bit of vibration, a true sport vehicle. I have driven and owned many other SUVs in the past but this one is certainly at the top of the list. It is simply amazing!!

Excellent SUV
Toyota has made me very happy, The 4 Runner is the best vehicle I have ever driven, So many standard features without a large price tag. So many wonderful uses for the 4 Runner, Rugged yet very nice and elegant at the same time. Thank you Toyota for making my decision easy when purchasing a new SUV, the choice was very clear!
Everything you expected from Toyota
Feel great about my purchase. Drives 'solid' feels 'solid'. I had a ford explorer before and the 4runner blows it away in comfort, stability and performance. I wanted the limited for the navigation and leather but opted for the sport and put in after factory leather which was definitly the way to go. Most dealers work with leather installation companies. I will also put in an after market DVD navigation system from pioneer which has voice command. All told I saved about 5k and pretty much got a limited with the more agressive look the hood scoop on the sport provides. The dog in the back loves the window that goes down. Most important, my fiance says that I look 'hot' in the truck. :)
The most wanted SUV
I can see why Edmunds voted it most wanted. I waited almost two months to get the color combination I wanted. As soon as one hit the lot it was sold the same day. Well I finally got one and it was well worth the wait. It rides great for a rear axle SUV and the engine performance far better than my old Jeep. It has so many standard features Im still learning them. I really like the fuel economy. So far Im averaging 20.9 miles per gallon city/hwy. Im glad I got it.
