I am leasing this car through Tesla. Since I live in Michigan I had to go to Ohio and receive the car. I was able to drop my BMW X1 to the nearest dealer in Ohio and they were kind enough to give me a ride to the Tesla location. The car was charged half way so it was clear that I need to stop at a supercharger on my way and although I made multiple requests and dealer said no worry about it, apparently didn't happen and I had to set everything up on my way for charging so not a big issue. When I received the car there were multiple issues like smudges and fit and fit issues. Most the dealer person was able to use a cleaner and some force was able to take care of it. Front passenger door was not aligned properly (at least what I thought at that point but after 2 attempts of dealer and mobile service trying to fix it it looks like door just doesn't fit). I got the white color so that the I would have a better luck but there are imperfections and of course doesn't match the bumper color. If I bought the car, definitely I would have rejected it but it is just a lease and I supposed to wait 6 weeks which magically reduced to 6days(?) I was really excited so let it go. Charging is horrible unless you would plug in every night. You can charge up to 90% (recommended and it will slow down the charging rate after) and you shouldn't go below 20% so if the car was 100% efficient then you get about 230miles (326*(90-20)/100). But I find the car is about 65% efficient during winter so I get about 150miles between charges and may be 180miles during summer. So how they calculate the energy prices I really find it equivalent to gas especially over winter months. Further more this heat pump is awful especially if you go to gym. You start the car and battery conditions itself, you drive 5 miles and shutdown the car and battery conditions itself and then 40mins later same thing so 10mile round trip costs you about 30... Acceleration is good but if you have a sports car you wouldn't mind either way. Interior quality is really poor, leather seats are already looking old after 1.5years, cloth covering subwoofer has waves in it. I love the middle console and entertainment. It is far better than traditional cars and I think everyone should go this way. How much real estate you need for your speed (it is at least 1/3rd of the cluster in regular vehicles)? I think there are more to be told but as a summary I am a Software Engineer and if I could build a car this would be it. Lot's of cool software, communication stuff which always can be better like your connection and such... but hardware and mechanics kind of doesn't match so I am not upset that I will return this car at the end of 2023 and I had my time with Tesla so I don't think I will ever buy/lease another one. And btw service is horrible, you need to prove the problem or they will charge you diagnostics fee. BMW service used to ride in the car with me to identify rattle and squeaks and it is not even a question to say I have those issues in Tesla which I have many but different brand, different expectations.

All of Tesla's technological prowess known so far

I live in Texas and have owned a 2021 Model Y for about 6 months. I am using FSD. FSD is completely different from what is known. It's a scam. In particular, FSD cannot be used locally. I'm ready to die and I don't know if I'll use it, so it accelerates without reducing speed in sharp braking cornering. Recommended if you like roller coasters. Just buy life insurance. Turn left and turn right ??.. like a slug walking... Then, suddenly, it accelerates and, most importantly, it goes well, and then suddenly the brake suddenly becomes bright. Even when there is no car in front of you. If you happen to have a car behind you, the fear is immense. I almost got into an accident with the car behind me, so I can't use it at all. The brake brightness is not just a sudden brake, it is bright enough to blow the body forward. It's not just me, it's the same for everyone around me who uses FSD. People who are Tesla YouTubers get really sick of it... It's all lies. Mileage is different from indicated and very short. The Model Y Long is marked over 300 miles, but... Actual usable distance on the highway without regenerative restart is less than 250 miles. To conserve battery life at the low and high capacity limits, the usable range is actually around 150 miles. Therefore, it is very inconvenient to travel long distances because it needs to be charged frequently. I don't know the mileage using regenerative regeneration locally.

My wife’s Tesla had a malfunction this morning due to your regenerative breaking system. She was driving out of a park from walking our dog going at 10 to 15 mph to a stop sign and all of a sudden the Tesla went out of control going so fast that she almost lost her life due to the cars malfunctioning At the stop sign you can only go right or left only. You can see by the picture of the intersection coming from the park where the red post is, the car kept going straight until it hit a car and a light pole, after it hit the car. The thing is that my wife took the car into your service center at 901 Gilman to get her front windshield replaced. I’m not sure what they did there with the car’s computer while they disabled the car for service. When my wife picked up her car at the service center it was not working properly when my wife got the car. The side mirrors didn’t fold out so my wife flagged the service guy down to tell him why the side mirrors weren’t out when you put the car to drive. So that was odd. The service guy did something with the touch screen. Something from that point tells me that they did something to the cars computer when they serviced the car and didn’t tell my wife. Straight to the point that the car malfunctioning caused this accident. Your company is putting a dangerous product out on the street for people to drive is not right. I personally liked this car while driving it on the weekends with my wife and dog. I’m sure you know you are putting a dangerous car out on the road and that’s why there’s been more accidents on the news about Tesla’s. Probably many more that don’t even make the news. The only had 1811 miles on it at the time of the accident. Still a brand new car that went berserk. What a damn shame. We should be compensated in someway. My wife and my dog got really lucky to be still alive right now.

We ordered a 2021 Tesla Y Long Range on May 7th and picked it up May 29th. The "news" stories of delivery delays stems from the haters and gas lovers. Getting our Model 3 June 12th and we ordered it April 27th. No more dinosaurs in our garage.

Leased my 2021 Tesla Model Y in April of 2021 for 36 Months. Returned the car to Tesla about half way through the lease in December of 2022. By now, if you are reading this review, you know the common issues. The horrible phantom breaking, Auto Pilot does not work, long charging times, poor range, build\paint\trim quality, poor service\repairs, sky high out of warranty repair costs, constant updates that change or remove features, Super Charging rates that have quadrupled since I got the car and so, so, so much more. It is all TRUE! I decided to return the car because it is not safe. Period. I could not drive it using cruise control (Auto Pilot) without it phantom breaking every 10-20 miles by the time I returned it. The problem just got worse over time and I was in constant fear of being rear-ended. I reported the issue with the NHTSA and feel there will be a massive recall at some point. I also attempted a repair with Tesla and was not pleased with the level of effort they put into trying to resolve the issue. The bottom line is, you don't want this or any Tesla. These cars are not the future and I expect to see a lot of Class Action lawsuits over the many safety issues in the years to come. Don't risk your safety in these cars. Please!
