Takes about a week for futuristic controls to become natural. You will NEVER go back to the past, pumping gas, oil changes, transmission issues, tuneups, timing belts, etc.

My midrange 2018 model 3 was home delivered in december 2018. In 4 years I took it into Tesla service for tire rotation and questions at no charge. They changed the rear trunk wire harness proactively at no charge. I got the FSD beta extra in 2019. Software updates come regularly. As of end 2023 the car is flawless. I can speak a destination and the car takes me there, over freeways, highways and local streets. I pay attention and take over manually maybe once per 50 mile trip in ambiguous situations, like a busy merge where other drivers won't yield. I charge at home overnight on a 120 volt outlet with the PGE EV2 rates. The sound system is quite good. Road noise is not as minimal as in a more luxury sedan, but I can live with that, since trading for the newer quieter model 3 would require purchasing FSD all over again -- boo on that, Mr Musk. Even the black paint has held up. It's the best car i have ever had, or could hope for in Sci Fi dreams.

This car is fantastic, especially if you're a techie. It works flawlessly and is so fast you can't believe it! I have owned it since October 2018 and have not had a single issue with it. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone. Get a 240 VAC outlet in your garage or parking area and you'll never visit a gas station again! If you take a trip have no fear of running out of battery power as the charger network is extremely developed and the car tells you when and where to stop.

Updating my review after 5 years... it ***remains** the best car I've ever owned in terms of reliability, economy, and advancing Tech. OTA updates improve the efficiency and saftey of the 3 every month or so. Highly Recommed ! For superior performance, safety, style, reliability, and (surprisingly) economy, the Model 3 is a car you *Must* consider for your driving needs. If you own a home or live in an apartment where you can install your own electric charger the economy of electric will be very kind to your pocket book. Adding to economic efficacy, is that fact that service is essentially non-existent. I have only paid $80 to switch my winter tires to regular tires and that is the **only** needed service in over 7000 miles. This car is the safest vehicle ever made and that is important to guard those close to me. Auto-Pilot assist when used as directed by Tesla, actually enhances the safety of your highway driving by adding the 10 or so visual cameras, the 10 ultrasonic sensors and the radar to your visual input and thus optimizes your own driving skills. In addition, the stress of driving in high traffic and stop and go situations in very minimized and you will be less stressed and less tired than driving the tradition car. Without reservation, I give the Tesla Model 3 my highest recommendation. The sound system rocks and is the best ever. After 5 years and 49900 miles the only paid repair out of warranty was to replace one camera at $156. Best car Ever and Best Service Ever.

This is an amazing vehicle. It beats the AMG I drove for 3 years. Yes, it has taken some getting used to. Yes, it has limited range. Yes, I had to install a 220 V plug. Bottom line, It has exceeded expectations, and it is just an awesome ride. I can't speak to reliability as I have only had it 1 month and only driven it about 600 miles. 6 month anniversary update- It is amazing. I love this car. It is fun to drive, although you have to watch your speed. There are still features I don't know well, and I do not feel comfortable yet taking trips that require charging station management, but I have several apps for that in addition to the Tesla feature on the console. .
