First time Subaru buyer of November of 2024
The remote start app is incredibly frustrating! When I purchased my Subaru in November 2024, having a reliable remote start feature was my top priority. I love the car, but I expected to be able to start it remotely with ease and without any stress. If the app can’t function properly with any phone, then please return to providing a physical key with a remote start. My husband uses an Apple device and has no trouble starting the car with his phone, but my new Samsung S24 rarely works. It often fails with fingerprint recognition and won’t work at all with face ID! Initially, the app allowed users to enter a PIN for quick access, but they removed that option, leaving only the fingerprint and face ID methods. After spending this much money, it’s disappointing that the remote start feature doesn’t work smoothly. This situation makes no sense! Overall, I am a very disappointed customer.

Almost There
2025 Outback Touring XT. Almost a perfect ride. Turbo has excellent acceleration though mileage hasn’t reached estimates yet. ( only 1800 miles) Ride is quiet, smooth and very comfortable seats. No rattles, seams, interior etc all the way they should be. Now the not so good… touchy electronic brakes, over useage of warnings, start/stop feature annoying and has to be turned off every time when started or it will shut car off at every light. Biggest complaint from me is the really nice Dark Mahogany Pearl color, even with multiple layers of Carnauba wax, etc, scratches very easily and water spots like crazy. Overall, a well made, approaching luxury interior, comfortable car with lots of safety equipment. Not perfect, but close. Haven’t driven in snow yer, but the people who have here say 6 inches of snowy unplowed roads, no problem.

Love our Outback!!
Other than an odd shadow in the headlights and the poorly lit storage area behind the seats there is nothing we don’t love about this car. And the two items mentioned are minor. Would buy this care gain in a heartbeat. The auto break safety feature prevented an accident in the first week. The cruise cotrol and lane assist make driving long distances heaven. And the look and function of the built in touch control screen made every other car’s dash we considered look pretty rinky dinky by comparison.
