2025 Subaru Crosstrek Consumer Reviews

From a Honda to a 2024 Crosstrek
I have driven Honda Accords since I’m 30 (69 now.) I decided to try a Subaru. I love it. I bought the cross trek wilderness. It looks a little quirky with all the copper colored accents which makes me love it more. It is very user friendly and drives well. The only con I have is it is not a quiet ride. I like the storage the large tires and it’s overall look. The sound system is great.I do wish it had auto locking when you park and an automatic hatchback. But that’s no big thing. So far so great!!!

So far a bad choice.....
Purchased a 2025 Crosstrek 6/9/2025 for weekend trips. The infotainment system is sluggish but worst of all the GPS. which is part of the infotainment system, does not recalculate or work properly. I found via google that this is a known Subaru issue. I will call Haldeman's Subaru on Monday 7/12/25 to see if there's a software update or if there is something that can be done. If its possible to fix I will update,

Annoying
The speed control jumps by 5's when you press to increase or decrease, which is stupid and leaves you manually having to press the gas to 107 or whatever, then pressing set. Also, when you turn the volume knob, the whole screen shows a speaker with the increased number and during this time you can't press anything on the screen. Who thought this was good user interface? On the plus side, it seems to get decent gas mileage.
Fun crossover but a bit too bumpy ride
Sadly I am looking to trade in my 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Sport as I find the ride to be a bit too bumpy, including excessive side to side motion over bumps. I also get lower back pain from cloth sport seats. I love the exterior look of the vehicle and it has a great engine, but I need a bit more comfortable daily driver.

Orwell's Big Brother watching you
I've been a "Subaru" loyalist and booster since 1985. But I've never been as disappointed as I have been with this 2025 Subaru Cross trek. While I took a 2025 Cross Trek for a 30 minute test drive and there had been no hint of this vehicle "stumbling" and turning the engine off by itself while at a traffic light only to find it happening when I departed the dealership. As far as I am concerned, this would have been a "deal breaker" and shades of misleading/misrepresentation on the salesperson's part ... certainly unethical. "Orwellian 1984" ... ? While an environmental restriction apparently caused Subaru to impose this flaw; certainly other means could have used to meet the environmental standards required??? Gordo, Metro Vancouver, BC
