3-Year-Old Vehicles Ranked by Retained Value and Trade-In Value

Check where your 2017 model year trade-in ranks in value here

Trade-in values are spiking due to a surge in demand in the used market during the COVID-19 pandemic, which means that now is a great time to consider checking what your car is worth on Edmunds.

Edmunds analysts recently took a look at all 2017 model year vehicles that were traded in during July 2020. To help car owners, they put together a comprehensive list that includes the average trade-in price for each make model, and ranked each vehicle in terms of greatest to least retained value. Retained value was determined by comparing the average trade-in price of each vehicle against its average original MSRP.

See how your vehicle stacks up in terms of value below. If your vehicle is older or newer than 2017, or if it isn't on the list, you can still check the value of your vehicle by appraising it on Edmunds.
