Outstanding Vehicle with a few very minor issues
We were looking to replace our 2014 Audi Q5 3.0, which was sporty, peppy, and handled well only to find Audi did not offer a comparable vehicle in 2020, and those they did offer did not perform in a similar manner. So we drove the Macan and Macan S and quickly concluded the S was a great replacement, albeit slightly more $$ and less cargo space. Performance is nothing less than expected from a Porsche - outstanding. Standard features and functions are excellent, but the few options we chose were outrageously priced (also typical for Porsche). $8000+ for Premium Package and leather , $700 for the mirror lights that warn of someone in your blind spot when changing lanes. Having driven it a year we are extremely pleased with it in all New England driving conditions, and very happy we have it. The few sniveling issues we wish Porsche would consider addressing are (1) you can't see the analog instrument marking in the daylight - but the digital instruments are easy to see even with sunglasses, (2) With memory seat and memory key the Audi was smart enough to adjust he seat position automatically when you open the door based on your key. Porsche will do that only if the car is locked and you unlock it upon entry. Why not move the seat for the driver automatically? (3) The heated steering wheel on/off button is located in a position on the steering wheel where it is hard to identify but easy to actuate unknowingly while driving. These are minor annoyances far outweighed by the performance and handling of this great vehicle.
Magnificent Vehicle
2020 Macan S review: Options are expensive, but you do get what you pay for in quality of materials and In the absolutely joy driving this vehicle. I have owned many vehicle in my lifetime but none have given me as much driving pleasure. Reliability has yet to be determined, it’s only been a few weeks. I have very few complaints, the only one worth mentioning is the lack of daytime visibility when reading the numbers on the analog tach. The S model tachometer comes with a grey rather than black dial, which provides poor contrast with the white numbers on the tach, once the backlightIng has switched off. The red tach needle remains visible. I find myself turning the lights back on during sunny days especially during early mornings when the sun is low.

Macan - Outstanding SUV with Sports Sedan Handling
After owning six SUVs from another German manufacturer, the Macan is by far the best driving one. Porsche has really figured out how to provide feed back with electric power steering. The suspension is firm, but eliminates harshness. All the controls are easy to use and you don't have to use the display to adjust the controls normally used. The Macan is the incredibly quiet. Several people have commented on how quiet it is. I have nothing negative to say about the Macan. Of all the vehicles my wife and I have owned over 50 plus years, this is our favorite vehicle. UPDATE: Of the nine SAVs and SUVs we have owned, the Macan is by far our favorite. While it does not carry as much as the larger SUVs, it is way more fun to drive. It has the best steering, handling and braking of any SUV I have ever driven. It certainly drives closer to a sports sedan than it does to a typical large and heavy SAV/SUV. Update 2: While the Macan remains our favorite SAV/SUV, the cost of maintenance at the dealer is absurd. They wanted over $1,800 for an oil change, brake flush and changing all the filters.

Macan is Awesome!
Porsche has a winner. This thing is better than the Cayenne, and more economical too. I got rid of a brand new MBZ GLB (10K miles) to get my new Macan. This SUV has plenty of room in back for whatever. My skis fit inside, which is a plus. Drives well uphill at freeway speeds +. Goes like hell downhill too. Driving experience feels like driving a Porsche car which I really enjoy.

Porsche Macan S is practical and fun daily driver
I purchased my 2019 Porsche Macan S volcanic gray SUV as my "retirement phase" daily driver; although I miss the 2016 Cayman I traded for it, I have found the Macan is every bit a fun and exciting car to drive, both in relaxing cruise, as well as pushing through sharp curves going up or down mountain country roads. The fit and finish is premium, the onboard equipment is easy to enable and adjust; the seats are firm but very comfortable. And the turbo-charged V6 is reasonable economical on long interstate highway runs - I averaged 26 mpg during two 400-mile legs at high speed between my home and Savannah, GA during the recent Independence Day holiday. The cargo bay has plenty of space for the occasional shopping trip or overnight/weekend travel. I am very pleased with my choice; I recommend the vehicle.
