Glad I Didn't Overlook
This vehicle is better than I expected based on the review I read here at Edmunds. I was looking for a vehicle that had comfortable seating, was quiet at freeway speeds, gets good gas mileage and had a cargo area with useful dimensions - tall enough and long enough to enable me to carry bikes standing up (with the bike's front wheel removed).Over about a year, I either rented or test drove a Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Venza, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sportage, Kia Sorento, Ford Escape, Ford Edge, Volkswagen Tiguan, Subaru Forester and BMW X-3. Edmunds' review says "Elevated wind and road noise at highway speeds" so I skipped looking at this vehicle until the end and was surprised to find it to be among the quietest I'd driven. It's much quieter than the highly praised CX-5 and equally quiet to the Venza. The seats are very comfortable. Much better than the highly praised Kia / Hyundai products. Edmunds review says, "Smaller back seat". This is wrong. Maybe they mistakenly reviewed the smaller Nissan Rogue Sport instead? The Rogue is the only vehicle I found with a cargo area tall enough for me to carry bikes inside. All of the other vehicles have cargo area heights that are too short (less than 2.5 ft.). This is also the only vehicle that has a flat cargo area once the rear seats are folded. You could throw a mattress in there and sleep in there. The Rogue has the best gas mileage of any non-hybrid SUV I looked at and its gas mileage is near that of the more expensive hybrid SUVs (I'm looking at you RAV4 hybrid). Nissan achieves this with a three cylinder engine that varies its compression ratio based on throttle inputs. Despite its efficiency, this engine feels very powerful and the vehicle accelerates rapidly when asked. This engine is coupled to a CVT that is tuned to have the feel of a conventional automatic.
Better Than Expected
So… the Rogue was a step down from my Murano which was bigger and plusher. I just didn’t care for the Rav4 or CRV so I stuck with Nissan by default. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the Rogue. It is comfortable, useful and pretty fun to drive. It provides a solid 95% of the utility I was getting out of my much larger Murano, Outback or Ford Edge in a much smaller, more fuel efficient package. The tech features are solidly competitive if not a little easier to use than the other cars I’ve owned. The only negatives are: a little turbo lag (but totally bearable so far) and oddly the AC could be a little stronger. I’ll update if anything major changes but so far, I’m impressed!

Does Not Disappoint
I have been driving Nissan’s for the last 15 years. 2007 Murano, 2014 Rogue, and now a 2022 Rogue. All of them AWD as the Cleveland winters and my outside sales job requiring 20k miles per year will always have me needing AWD. I have only had my ‘22 Rogue for 4 weeks/1200 miles so far and I already LOVE it. The “turbo lag” takes a little getting used to but I enjoy how this car makes power. Gas mileage is impressive and the acceleration from a 3 cylinder for such a large vehicle is a technology marvel. All the new technology is amazing! Like anything new it takes some getting used to, but it’s all great. I really like the Apple car play. The adaptive cruise control and Pro Pilot assist are great on the freeway. I have always used my cruise control as a speed control and ALWAYS have it on except when I’m backing out of my driveway. I shut the Pro Pilot off except when on the freeway as it’s a little much for 35-45 mph roads, but it’s one easy button and the car remembers your setting even after shutting off and re-starting. The adaptive cruise control is a little aggressive when breaking if someone pulls out in front of you or traffic is stopped, like previous cruise controls simply pressing the cancel button and then resume is super easy. The lane keep assist takes some adjustment time as you don’t realize how often you are cheating your lane in situations where no other cars are around (passing a semi on the freeway I tend to hug the white line on the left, or hugging the double yellow lines to straighten out a curve on a 2-way road). Speaking of curves, the paddle shifters are way fun and the car has a great sound when revs are in the power-band. I have tried not to use the paddle shifters too much for the first 1000 miles, but I can already see how much fun this feature and the 8 gears will be on back country roads after fully broken in. Reminds me of my motorcycle days. As usual Nissan does not disappoint and I hope to enjoy the same reliability Nissan has always provided me with.

Lexus ride quality in a Nissan Rogue SV fwd 🇺🇸
After 9 months of ownership my 22Rogue SV has been trouble free. I've adjusted to the sudden surge on initial acceleration and overall I made a wise decision with my purchase and would definitely buy another 🇺🇸💯🙏🏽

Smells like gasoline
Started having strong gasoline odor at 1100 miles. Nissan Dealer cannot figure out the issue. From Nissan Consumer Affairs: "On some Model Year 2022 and newer Nissan Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder engine, an odor of gasoline may be noticed in and/or around the vehicle , despite no Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), or Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs) recorded, or evidence of fuel leak. We understand your concern that your vehicle may exhibit this odor. Nissan is currently investigating this issue when there are no problems found - for example, the odor you are detecting may be due to winter blended fuel purchased beginning as early as September. More information will be available when the Nissan investigation is complete. If you should experience future MIL illumination or fuel leak concerns, we recommend that you take your vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealer for further diagnosis."
The Rogue that can scoot!
2022 Rogue SL with Premium package. I wanted the Platinum but it didn't seem worth the extra dollars over an SL Premium. The 1.5 tube THREE cylinder is great. It's very smooth. The 225 lb-ft of torque is great for taking off from stop lights at moderate throttle. I'm not a big CVT fan but for normal driving it's smooth and feels like a conventional automatic. When you put the foot down it acts like a CVT. It's wired going up mountain highway roads and your speed stays the same but the tach start climbing up as the CVT smoothly changes the gearing. You don't feel conventional downshifts. Very happy with the engine. I've averaged 33 mpg overall in the first 4400 miles. I've seen up to 38 mpg on highway travels. The interior is really nice. the 9" infotainment is super easy to use and nice looking. 360 cameras are super nice to have and there's a camera view on passenger front tire for parking by curbs. I like the leather and two-tone accents. I have the light gray (looks beige to me) leather. The seats are comfy. The Bose stereo is just ok. Nothing like the ELS on the Acura TLX I traded in. Cargo room is nice and love the powered liftgate. The headlights light up the road very well and the auto high-beams make life easy at night. I did replace incandescent bulbs with aftermaket LED's. Now my turn signals and backup lights are much brighter. The negatives are that some of the plastics don't feel as nice as my previous 2018 Acura TLX. Some of the fit and finish lack behind the Acura. There were no Infiniti QX50's for sale by me to compare.

FIRE
My car caught fire last Saturday while I was in the grocery store with my children. I came out and my whole center council was on fire. I had a 2022 Nissan Rogue SV with 7000 miles. Fire department said it was a electrical fire and a manufacture defect. I have only got one response from Nissan Corporate and they hung up on me. I called them back and now they saying its gone be another 1-3 business days.
I love my Rogue Platinum!
I love this vehicle! I had a 2012 Murano for 10 years. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Traded for Rogue. Love everything about it! Technology, ride, quality of the car is awesome!
Do NOT buy this "COVID" year assembled Rouge
Worst car I have ever bought, have also owned 5 Pathfinders and had no problems. Started having rear driveshaft shaking/grinding after only 200miles. Has been in the shop 4 times in 2 months. Dealer has replaced rear differential twice and the rear drive coupling. Currently going through the Lemon Law process to go back and purchase a Toyota instead. Have been with Nissan for over 10 years now and very disappointed by how the dealership and cooperate Nissan has treated me since the first shop visit a few months ago. Terrible all around anymore. Would give half a star if I could. Agree with other reviews about the bad and uncomfortable interior also.

Poor Quality Overpriced Junk!
I have had a very poor experience with this car. The quality control must have been working from home when these cars were built! Leaking roof rails, horrible drive quality and just getting worse every time I drive it. I took it in and Nissan says this is normal for these cars to wear in this way. The suspension has to have something wrong with it and it has a knocking sound when you apply the breaks and a vibration. They refuse to fix it, or even try to find out what’s wrong with it. I feel like if it’s under warranty it’s a waste of time to take it in. This car was way overpriced for the quality.
Amazing!
I recently purchased the Rogue Platinum. Extremely comfortable to drive and wonderful handling. Lots of interior room. I really like having all the safety features the Rogue offers. The cabin has high end features- which Exceed higher end vehicles I’ve owned, I am Very Pleased with my purchase!

Fuel vapor inside vehicle
2022 and 2023 with the 3cyl engine are having issues with fuel vapor seeping inside the vehicle to the point we were sick. Nissan and all the dealers are aware of this but continue to sell them even though there is no fix. It doesn't happen to a of them but we fought with them for 6 months until they bought our Rogue back from us under the lemon law. There are alot of people with this issue. Also had my master cylinder go out out our new Sentra with 12,000 miles on it. Im done with Nissan

Have its issues
I purchased my Nissan 2022 SV Rogue. After 4 months the rear sensor ,had to be replaced, after 8 months ,there was a water leak coming from the left upper corner of the windshield.
Love my Rogue
This is my 4th Rogue. The beautiful Boulder Gray is so eye catching. And what’s under the hood! I am getting the best gas mileage. !
Engine Malfunction
2022 Rogue at 14000 miles engine malfunction power reduced signal lights up. Take it to dealer under warranty and they can’t find anything and charge me $168. Happens again in the middle of the road at 21000 miles. Call dealer and they say tow it in at my expense. Turn car off and back on and it was back to normal. Take to dealer and again they can’t find anything. Say Nissan is aware but don’t have a fix. But the fix may be a new engine. Fill a complaint with Nissan for the $168 and requesting a vehicle buyback because of the safety issue of having your car reduce speed from 70 on the interstate to twenty with no warning. Nissan denies both claims. Tried to sell it back to the dealer and they said they weren’t interested. Filed a complaint with the NHTSA for a safety issue. Next will be better business bureau for charging for service while under warranty on a known issue. We have owned 6 other Nissans with no issue but the 3 cylinder engine appears to be an issue.

Love my Rogue!
I bought a used 2022 Rogue SL AWD with 16,000 miles. First, the car looks great. The exterior color of scarlet ember is a head turner, especially given that 90% of the cars out there are either white, black, or silver. The leather, cream-colored interior looks terrific, and the interior space is amazing. I test drove several small SUVs, and the Rogue is much more comfortable to drive .than the CX-5 or Rav-4. The turbo engine has plenty of pep, especially when passing on the highway - which is when you really appreciate that turbo boost. I have had none of the electrical issues others have complained about, nor is there any kind of gasoline smell, so these are obviously not universal problems with the Rogue. The external view cameras are amazing (especially the “Birds Eye” view from above; I still don’t know how they do that), and are invaluable when parking or navigating tight spaces. The Bose sound system sounds great, and the navigation system works very well (as does Apple CarPlay). Gas mileage is well into the 30s, even in city driving. I haven’t had much opportunity to drive it in snow yet, but I know I’ll be well prepared given the videos posted online about the Rogue’s performance in snow and off-road. I’m sorry others have had some issues with the Rogue because I think this is a terrific small SUV. Ride, handling, and interior comfort (while mostly subjective) are far above others in its class.

The absolute best SUV on the market
The way how this car drives is amazing But I can tell you there’s only one thing I’m disappointed in that is the camera surrounding the car for safety I believe every single car Nissan has should include that in every single vehicle. I also on a 2015 Nissan rogue and I find the features better having the cameras surrounding the entire car. But I do love the sensor while I drive so I can protect myself and everybody else on the road but I would like cameras around in the car on every single Nissan

Ehhh not what I expected
I own a 2022 Nissan Rogue and I am not too please with this vehicle. Passenger seat sits way too high and isn't that comfortable. Not a fan of the backseating either. With a carseat in the middle of the back seat the driver's view is limited. I already have a sensor that needs replacing. The ride is okay. Not a fan of how the car handles. Can hear wind noise when on highway. I am regretting trading my Hyundai Tucson in for this . Looking forward to trading this in. I wouldn't recommend this car at all. Not pleased. Oh and not to mention the recent recall and the hassle of getting it remedied.

Defective and poor car
The car is not only noisy. It comes with a whistling and squeaking noise installed in factory! The dealership confirmed that this type of noise is typical for the car and Nissan confirmed what the dealership said. The performance is far below what has been advertised, 20-22 ml in the city. Did not buy Kia for the fuel economy, turned out that this car is even worse. The interior design is simple, however, they tried a lot to reduce the useful space (otherwise it would not be possible to design that badly). The cargo is less than expected, missing a couple of inches to be normal. Acceleration is poor.

Sounds like rocks in the engine!
We have two 2022 Nissan Rogue SVs and both are very lagging taking off from a dead stop. When you take your foot off the brake the car lounges forward, scary at times. The car rides nice, closing the back doors sounds very much like tin. The car looks good inside and out. I would love the car with a 2.0 or v6 the the 1.5L sounds like it has rocks in the engine, both of them and when Nissan looked at the car they said all of them do that??? how can there be 5 star reviews here with that being the case unless these are paid for reviews. Don't buy it you will be upset like us, Nissan will not do anything about it.

Very, very good. Almost great.
This is a very good car and I was pleasantly surprised in driving it. Being of a very picky nature, I test drove nearly 100 different cars over a 3 yr span looking for one that fit the "just right" category. And while this isn't it, with some tweaks it could very nearly be. The Rogue is FAR better than the inexplicably highly rated Rav4 and Mazda CX-5. And I mean there is no comparison. The Toyota and Mazda had ABYSMAL fit and finish and driving characteristics. The Rogue is the opposite: surprisingly great fit and finish, generally high reliability, a very punchy turbo engine, great acceleration, high interior comfort, PHYSICAL climate and infotainment controls, a gear selector that-- while not a traditional mechanical one-- operates traditionally and it not a dial or collection of buttons, relatively cushioned suspension. Despite all of this, the deal-breaker for me was the steering. The weight of the steering wheel (effort required to turn it) was so heavy (required so much effort), that you'd either snap or dislocate your wrists trying to fan the wheel. There will be no comfortable turns in this car. You have to grasp tight and yank the wheel like a racecar driver without power steering if you want to navigate a turn. In addition, the steering wheel is fairly small. So the effort that it takes to make the wheel turn is all the greater since you don't have the leverage of a larger diameter wheel to make the turns. Nissan went too far in trying to give the steering sporty characteristics. If it's not a sporty car or hot-hatch, it needs to have light, easy steering. This is a commuter car. Quite a disappointment, as the rest of the car was top-notch.

2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum
Nothing I don't like. I thought about how I would use the "head's up display" and now I love it, I never knew how often I took my eyes of the road to check my speed! Buy the Platinum just to get this!

Pleasantly Suspised
Had to purchase 2022 Rogue Platinum due to fact that our 2019 Rav4 XSE Hybrid was totaled in a accident by a careless driver. We were in a bind had to have a vehicle during unprecedented inventory shortages. The only vehicle we found that fit our needs. We have waited a year and half and 14000 mile to write this review. This is a very nice and comfortable vehicle. Lots of bells and whistles that took us awhile to figure out but now we could not live without them. Drive assist is very intuitive. Steering assist is hands down 100% better than the Rav. Ride comfort is top notch. We were worried the Platinum package might be a waste, but we love every luxury feature. The MyNissan App is wonderful and has spoiled us, with remote start from anywhere, navigation, vehicle status service scheduling, plus so much more. Have been in friends entry level Infinity QX50 and this Rogue Platinum beats them hands down.

Pleasantly surprised
Smooth ride, very comfortable seating with lots of room (I’m a leggy 6’3” so that’s critical), and surprisingly responsive in sport mode. Great bells and whistles e.g. heads up display, 360 camera, and adaptive cruise control. The infotainment is a bit clunky and the dash can be sleeker, but overall a very luxurious experience at $38K.

No Built-In Garage Door Opener
I was disappointed that the 2022 Platinum level Rogue did not include a built in Garage Door Opener and the add-on is $500 Canadian. Since my last vehicle was a trim level lower and I bought it in 2017, I would’ve assumed the “new and improved” model would’ve included such “advanced technology.” I bought the vehicle site unseen during Covid and there were also no flyers available. The joke is on me.
Undecided on Rogue
Purchased this Rogue in May of '22 and had a short amount of time to buy it because supply was slim due to Covid lack of supply and I needed a car quickly since I'd just been in a accident that totaled my 2013 Altima SL-which I LOVED...Man, I miss that car! There were TWO Rogues that came in on a truck the day I bought mine with none on the lot and I had my choice of both. I made the decision to go with the 1.5L DOHC 12 valve turbocharged SL model with 201 hp and 225 lb-ft torque and XTRONIC CVT with paddle mode with paddle shifters. It has leather and moonroof. The SUV rode smoothly from the start and offered 29 mpg city and 36 highway mpg. First thing I noticed that I didn't like was that I couldn't keep this car clean. It's black in color and no matter what I did to wipe it down after a wash, it always ended up with water lines on it driving it away after. I finally figured out that I had to raise the hood and wipe down the engine compartment to assure no water released from there. It's definitely harder to maintain, cleaning wise.. The cabin is spacious enough for the wife and I and electronics are nice except that there's no using our CD's anymore because everything now is either Serious XM or Pandora. You also need an XM membership just to add some of the xtras like finding hotels, restaurants, etc...on the car. I find that somewhat deceiving.... Don't think the car is delivering the kind of gas mileage it professes to give either, yet I haven't really had a chance to drive long distance to verify that. The gas tank is only 13 gallons. In followup reviews I'll be able to give updated reports on this 2022 Nissan Rogue SL
