Used 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Consumer Reviews
Great engine performance, but I have some quibbles
Bought mine new in 2015, now trading in for an Audi Q5. Yes, it is zippy, especially in sport mode (which guzzles the premium-only gas) and it looks very nice. Required Mercedes maintenance is costly, and car runs great right after it, but after a while idling becomes more noisy and vibrates car. Brakes squeak when I back up on a slight decline (my driveway), seats are too narrow, my left knee is always resting on the door because of this; seats in the Volvo XC 90 and Audi Q5 more comfy, long drives in this car have me shifting about from discomfort. Gas cover is annoying - often struggle to close it after pumping gas. I have the rear wheel drive model, and when I turn passengers lean, maybe because it's not AWD? The infotainment is ridiculously complex and I probably only use 40% of what it offers because I won't read a thick manual. My husband and daughter get car sick in back seat of this and the SUV Mercedes, but not in Volvos, BMWs or Audis. Don't get the high-gloss wood - looks terrible except right after you've wiped it down, dust shows up a lot, and scratches easily with no way to buff out scratches. The analog clock is a total anachronism. Does anyone really write letters on the touch pad. Navigation is TEDIOUS and maps not up to date - I always use my phone instead. When I was rear-ended, cost to fix the car was $9K!! Airbags deployed when they shouldn't have.

Good car
Very good car. Comfortable, solid, responsive engine though only 4 cylinders and nice tight steering. Up to 35 mpg on highway. The electronics (radio, navigation etc) are overly complicated; controls are redundant, not useful. Early in our ownership there was a sudden cut-off of steering that was remedied by some computer adjustment. Everything works fine ever since.

Don't make the mistake I made...
I bought this car in 2018 with 32000 miles on it. It now has 73,000 miles. I took in for routine service and was told it needed $10,000 worth of work. I took it to another dealer that a friend recommended and was told it only needed $6000 worth of work. The car is only worth about $15000. I have owned about 20 cars - all makes and models and have never owned a vehicle that needed this kind of maintenance with so few miles. Actually - I've never had a car need these kinds of repairs - even with 150,000 miles. They say some of it is normal wear - well I guess it's not very well built because my wife's Kia has 130,000 miles on it and is running just fine with just basic maintenance. And I also reached out to Mercedes corporate to see if any of these drive train repairs etc were under warranty or at least we could discuss it...total silence.

MERCEDES C300 2015 WORST CAR OF THE YEAR
It is in fact an absolute joke. Don't buy it or lease it because the driver's seat is so badly designed that you are going to end up in the hospital. The front interior of the car is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. There's nowhere to put the cell phone. You've got to be a rocket scientist to put the a/c on and off. The car also stalls and you can't start it again. Also the power steering randomly freezes with no warning and you are stuck until it decides to work again. I have driven all the cars in my life and this car should have never been on the market. There is not much difference with the 2016 C300. DON'T BUY IT. THE MERCEDES C300 IS THE WORST CAR OF THE YEAR. TONY

Poor visibility, poor acceleration
The C-pillar (rear) is a big honker - which makes changing lanes and backing out of the driveway unsafe. No technology for showing cars in the blind spot. Acceleration is turbo-lagged. Ugh. Rear view camera lousy. Sound system great though.
