Unmatched In It's Class!

I traded my 2008 Mazda3 GT for this 2010 Mazda3 GT and the improvements are obvious and immediately noticeable. Better transmission, Handling, Build, road noise/manners, just everything. Initially hardcore Mazda3 people like me almost hated this car just based on LOOKS ONLY. That passed and now it's beautiful as I realize it's as close to a perfectly built car as exists in ANY class for ANY price. The competition is laughable in specs and build and here's 1 reason why- Totoya Corlla-built- Canada/Indiana/USA,Honda Civic-built- Indiana/USA, Nissan Sentra-built- Mexico?, Thats one BIG reason but this car belongs in comparison to Lexus Is250, BMW3, MBZ-C, It's even better than those for the money.

My Bonnie Blue

2010 Mazda 3 s Sport 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 4cyl 5A)

I made the decision to purchase Bonnie after an overnight test drive in which I put 126 miles on the car. I made was living in the Chicago suburbs at the time. I had to make an unplanned trip into downtown Chicago during that test drive. She performed well in the suburbs, on the tollway, in the city, and was easy to park and navigate. I realized I was comfortable driving her in all the situations I needed her to perform well in. Since then we have gone 125,000 miles together, and I have never questioned whether she would get me where I wanted to go. My only reason for not replacing her with another Mazda 3 Hatchback is the rear seat and cargo space are rather small, and Mazda has chosen to put in place their own navigation system instead of Android Auto in the 2018 models.

Over-Hyped

These vehicles are not well-made. My paint on the hood and whole front clip is chipping off whenever anything hits it from a bug to a grain of sand. The gearshift knob spins. The tilt/telescope wheel doesn't stay where you set it. It is very hard for me (5'-10" and 205 lbs) to get comfortable. There is no ergonomic way to use the armrest while you drive. It is really loud in terms of road noise transmitted up into the car. Now there is a shake in the front end at highway speed. It is simply an over-rated piece of junk. I hate this car more than any other I have ever had. It has 7,000 miles on it, I can only imagine how bad it will be at 20,000.

Best First Car!

2010 Mazda 3 i Touring 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5A)

For my first car I bought a white 2010 Mazda 3 2.0 liter i Touring with the moon and tune package. It currently has just over 52,000 miles on it. The 2.0 liter 4 cyl. has good pick-up around town, but passing and merging on the freeway are a little strained. It's a fun little car that handles great and has a lot of nice features like a Bose sound system, a power sunroof, and Bluetooth. The ride is surprisingly comfortable on most bumps but on wavy surfaces it bounces up and down a lot. It's pretty quiet inside now that I put new tires on it. Everything is easy to reach while you're driving. It feels really nice and stable on the freeway, and the ride settles a bit as well. Update: It's been two years since the original review, and everything I said before is still accurate. My car now has almost 70,000 miles on it and drives the same as the day I bought it. I've had absolutely zero major issues with it. I still highly recommend this car!

Traded in our Mazda 5 in order to pass this car on to my kids, now 12. Now at about 14,000 miles, I am just as happy with it as I was with our 5. It's a great looking car and I really enjoy the bluetooth feature. Love using the manual shift and it is nice and sporty with alot of get up and go. Not thrilled about the gas mileage, but if I keep my speed under control, mileage does become better. Got Pearl White with beige interior and tinted the windows. Pay close attention, it looks exactly like the new Lexus 200CTH at half the price! Would buy it again in a heartbeat!
