Mpg
I read the write up on the 2009 Lincoln Town Car & I do not agree with the assessment of 22 mpg highway. My 2009 Town Car Signature Limited averages 26 mpg highway. It is comfortable and very dependable.

Lincoln Man
I have had my 2009 Lincoln Town Car for three years. It had 169,000 miles upon purchase and now it has 180,000 miles. Doing this time I’ve averaged 25 miles per gallon on the highway at 70 mph in the three years I found the Town Car, the only maintenance has been a front wheel bearing. The wheel bearing was $120 plus labor. This is my second Lincoln Town Car and both have been a pleasure to drive.

Best ride on the road!
I’ve owned 2 town cars now, first was a 1998 model that unfortunately I was rear ended in and it totaled my beloved ride, just purchased a 2010 continental with 29,000 on her and I could of purchased any car I wanted but specifically hunted for a low mileage Lincoln TC! I am older now but I have always loved the town car when I see one on the road, not many on the streets these days but I always get a smile when I drive mine! The dude that wrote this blistering review of these TC is crazy and uninformed on these great rides! I give em 5 ⭐️🇺🇸 AATW!

Never broke down
I've owned 6 Town cars. From yrs 91-2011. I must say I enjoyed them all except 1. However my 2011 which I've owned for 6yrs has been the best 1. It never put me down. I personally serviced it. It had 76k when I purchased it and it's now at 101k. She got me through winters and hot summers with zero problems, well my A/C sprung a leak 😂 but I own several vehicles to keep cool. In any event I've been very happy with the Panther platform and wish Lincoln would bring it back with a super fast luxury sedan and a new look that can compete with the newest luxury cars.

Love Hate Relationship
I got this car for 2 reasons- Status and Space. Now I can find many more reasons then that why i should get rid of this car. It handles like a tank, has no technology, has a pathetic engine, feels like your driving over grenades when you go over a bump, over priced for what you get- I could go on all day. Its simple to fix to. Get rid of the body on frame construction and remove the solid rear axle. Then it's the perfect car!
Not my old tc
Owned a 1998 t.c. Cartier was twice this car. Make that a Ford mistake.

owned 3 town cars
I've been a fan of the rear wheel drive v-8's since my first car at age 16( a 1972 Olds 98 LS).,, the Towncar is the most comfortable , safe and reliable used car on the market today. I had a 2004 Ultimate, a 2007 Signature and a 2008 Signature . The 2008 only had 11,000 miles on it when I bought it 6 years ago( owned by an elderly gent who bought it as his trophy car),, I've driven it 30k miles with few issues. Be aware that all cars have a ton of plastic parts, the Towncar is no exception. And plastic becomes brittle and cracks over time,,generating some good size repair bills. My dashboard actuators broke,,had to pull the dash and replace them, a $1,200 repair. My AC compressor went out,,another big repair bill.,,that said, the Towncar hasn't been made since 2011 and the newest ones on the road are 12-13 years old. If you accept that fact and plan for repairs it offers a ride that you cant get from any new sedan, at any price.,,long live the king!!

Lincoln
I purchased this vehicle last year with the input of my wife. Although it is a decent car, after shopping around I realize that my decision might have been ill advised. Not too long ago I took a look at the Acura RL. Offers over 300 hp from a V6 with all wheel drive. The interior quality is far superior as are the combination of 10 airbags, independent suspension and 200 k + Honda reliability. It's hard to believe but my Towncar uses a body on frame design and a live axle which makes for handling about as agile as a lumbering elephant compared to the Acura. My wife may not agree but with GM likely going under, the Towncar's time has come and gone.
