Used 2023 Lexus LS 500 Consumer Reviews
Soft not firm with a few issues
I leased the LS 500 after owning the typical Germans, primarily for its quality reputation and to avoid the pricey German maintenance. Here are my items for consideration, the moonroof is not quiet with wind noise, which I took back to the dealer and had the same issue with a test car. The rear seat backs do not fold down, limiting cargo space. The trunk opening is very small and makes it difficult to load items in the back of the trunk. No spare but it does have run flat tires. The windshield wipers need instructions on different steps to take with the ignition in order to replace blades. As others have stated, there is a turbo lag with hard acceleration. I don’t like the lane keeping feature as it is very tiring as it tries to stay centered. I miss my Porsche Cayenne
Wonderful Quality Built Car
The car is mostly wonderful and very nice to drive and extremely quiet. I have the F Sport AWD and what I dont like about is no front cameras on a near $100K car. Very hard to see below that long nose so you have to kind of stand back a little farther to be sure no front bumper contact. Also, Apple car play must be plugged in to work. That is so 2018 for a car this expensive in what was 2022. Last is the 3.5L 416HP twin turbo is a stone from a dead start. Rolling acceleration is great so don't pull out in front of anyone or you may get a T-bone surprise. Very Un sporty for an F Sport. I love the car anyway.

Expensive sedan low creature comfort
Overalls nice and stylish. Compared to its v8 predecessor noisy and slow acceleration with only 1mpg improvement in fuel economy even in economy mode. No good light in trunk. No light in glove compartment. Single internal glove box so very little storage.

Still a great car!
After reviewing cars in the same class, still come back to the good old LS, for the quietness in the cabin, soft ride, understated style and superb workmanship.
No go......
Let me preface my remarks by saying I am comfortably familiar with the Lexus line, having owned a 1998 LS400, followed by a 2007 LS460. When it came time to trade in my LS460, I naturally looked at the LS500 series. The car drives like a dream. The deal killer was the touchpad infotainment system. You knows it’s bad when the salesman has trouble navigating the menu. It’s a terrible distraction when driving and is frankly unsafe to operate when actively driving. ......Lexus you lost a long time customer. I bought a BMW. Change out your touchpad and I’ll consider coming back....
