Reliably good car but terrible technology

This is my 4th LS. Besides the expected quality and reliability, this is a fun car to drive. Not as velvety as the prior 3, but smooth enough for the added driving experience. Seats and cabins are comfortable. Now to the horribly unreliable technology. The worst is the voice recognition. It's utterly worthless. The process to navigate through the various functions is dangerous because of the poor design, but it's flaky nature makes it even more dangerous. The climate control is awful. The foot under trunk sensor has worked twice and both times I didn't mean to make it work. Its never worked when I've tried. And the anti collision sensors are WAY to sensitive. I've pulled up to shrubs in a parking lot a little quick and the car unexpectedly slams on the breaks and sounds an alarm. Scares the crap out of you. If they could just dual in the technology the car would get a 5 from me

I have a LS 500 with luxury package and the noise from the inside of car was unbearable. Took it to dealership in Houston Sterling McCall Lexus and they informed me that the noise maybe the sunroof and they would need to break it down and charge me 1500 to see the problem. Now that extremely unheard and since it their flagship and with luxury package they should have done it to find out concerns with dual sunroof and the future problem with other models. Also it should be something covered under warranty since it structural concerns and not wear and tear. They refuse to do the job without charging me for the work.

Turbo Lag

We have a2019 LS 500 that has a hesitation when I push the accelerator. This is the 7th LS series we have had. We still have an LS 460 that goes when I push the accelerator.

No longer felt like an LS

I've bought Toyota-made vehicles since 1972, including a 1999 GS300 and 3 LS cars. Loved them all and was very disappointed test-driving the 2021 LS 500, which lost many of the things I loved about the LS: no touch screen, no powerful V8, now slow off the line, ride no longer great, fake vroom engine noise. I reluctantly opted for a BMW 750 series...not as great as my former LS cars but lots better than the 2021 LS in my opinion. Thanks

Soft not firm with a few issues

I leased the LS 500 after owning the typical Germans, primarily for its quality reputation and to avoid the pricey German maintenance. Here are my items for consideration, the moonroof is not quiet with wind noise, which I took back to the dealer and had the same issue with a test car. The rear seat backs do not fold down, limiting cargo space. The trunk opening is very small and makes it difficult to load items in the back of the trunk. No spare but it does have run flat tires. The windshield wipers need instructions on different steps to take with the ignition in order to replace blades. As others have stated, there is a turbo lag with hard acceleration. I don’t like the lane keeping feature as it is very tiring as it tries to stay centered. I miss my Porsche Cayenne
