good value
I got the 2016 lexus IS 200t few weeks ago and so far have to say like it alot. my previous car was 2014 infiniti g37, now can't say i didn't like the infiniti, acceleration of g37 is of course superior to lexus IS 200, and the overall feel when u are behind the wheel is good with g37 just as it is good with lexus IS. But the IS overall feels like an upgrade. 1. the exterior design is quite something, it is fresh, no other car from same category in my opinion beats lexus - audi a4, bmw 3 series, infinity q50 2. quality of interior is high. the seats for example are higher quality than that of audi a4, now you could get higher quality seats in a4 as a package but they come standard with lexus IS. Overall interior quality will feel better than in audi a4 or bmw 3 series, but prob not better than quality of q50 3. this model makes some features standard where other makes (audi, bmw) would make them optional. keyless ignition, rear view camera, and my favorite free feature - the interior lights up as you approach the car door with keys in your pocket - these little features give a feel of owning luxury

Loving my Lexus.
This is my sixth Lexus. Four ES, one RX and now my IS200T. Love that the rear view camera, Satellite radio and moon roof are standard. Car being a foot shorter than ES is great when parking. Seats very comfortable and lots of adjustment options. Intuitive controls....not lots of complicated toys. Acceleration OK, not great. Stops very quickly, nice turning circle. Got excellent (33 mpg) on road trip into Blue Ridge Mts in NC, even with mountain driving and a/c blasting. A Summer complaint....Start button situated in such a spot that mid day sun makes it very hot to touch in summer. Bought a sunshade that solved that issue. Gas prices still low so that Premium at Costco still "cheap". Might not feel that way during next gas crisis. Second issue is that the statistics indicator easily gets out of sync. Just touch the wrong button and the readings. change and not easy to reset. ..nothing mechanical, just annoying. Not firm when handling curves like German cars.........this became more annoying........decided to test drive a BMW 320i.......BOUGHT THE BIMMER.......more FUN to drive in April 2018. Still an excellent car.

Great all around car!
I have enjoyed my time a lot with this car. If you're looking for a relaxing daily commuter with a touch of sportiness... then this is the car for you. I tend to settle down when I'm driving because the F-sport seats are really comfortable! But if you want to drive a little more dramatic you can. The car definitely handles great and you get a good feel of the road. The interior is also very quiet when you're in a noisy freeway. No engine vibrations at all! You feel like you're inside a small tank. You can't go wrong with Lexus reliability! Ive had no issues with the car and don't expect to have any. I get a lot of stares from other people despite this generation IS being out for a couple of years now. I love my atomic silver exterior and red leather interior! The car does have flaws though. The turbo 2.0 liter engine is not as refined, Lexus needs to work on the tuning in my opinion because it is a good engine, with good, but not great acceleration. It is a very smooth and quiet engine that will get the job done for most people, but if you want a more powerful engine, then I'd say go for a V6 IS 350. The interior is also good, but you can tell its starting to show its age. People also complain a lot about the infotainment mouse pad thingy... which is a difficult system to use. Don't get the Navigation package, thats why you have a smartphone with Google maps/Waze... you get a traditional rotary nob when it comes to using the infotainment system with out the navi-package which solves the problem of the infotainment. Overall I really enjoy this car, Its relaxing, reliable, and quiet but if you want to drive aggressive... its a good handler and has decent power. I can't wait to see what Lexus does to the next generation IS. Lexus is moving upward based on what I've seen from the new LS,LC and ES.

Slow Acceleration
I trade an IS 250 for 200T. I am disappointed with the acceleration of my 200T. The car takes around 2.5 to 3 seconds to accelerate after press the accelerator pedal. I called Lexus USA and they referred me to the dealer, I called the dealer and they referred me to Lexus USA. Has anyone one experience this issue?

2016 IS200T Seats = Backpain
In October 2015, I traded my 2007 ES350 in for an IS200T. I was so excited to try the IS, it's ideal for San Diego. The IS200T is beautiful, but the seats are very uncomfortable. When I first got the car, I didn't notice it; as I understood, it was different than the ES I was used to and the IS would require adjustment. After the first month, I knew the front seats were uncomfortable, I voiced my complaint to a friend, whom tested the seats and said it felt okay - that's what I thought at first too. I started getting back pain through the holidays of 2015. I was sure it was the seats, but determined I was just not adjusted to the seats yet. Today in January 2016, I cannot take it anymore. I have backpain and I feel like I'm getting a hunchback from it. I have excellent posture: one, I'm a ballroom dancer; two, I've never had back or neck issues. I've decided to return to the Lexus dealership where I purchased my car, bring this to their attention and see if there's a fix: swap the seats or swap the car. Stay tuned. DR Jan 2018, Update: No change. Eats are still awful. I purchased a back cushipn for support. Lexus of San Diego was not able to assist by offering a fix or a good deal on trading in the car. However, in addition to the seats, the breaks began sqeeking at 6 months. I've had the breaks checked, they are fine. Two years now, they squeal and squeak still. Ugh, one more year. >:/
